Half penny is not half the player and wee dag simply lacks Willie's mecurial quality, rugby brain and creativity.

So please look at this and then salute Willie for his magnificent 2013.


If the kbbs would avoid any green eyed comments it would be appreciated.

 Not a bad season by Willie but he's a tad slow.......cut down by Barrett after being given a 5 metre start wasn't a good look Hasbeeno!

By NZ standards as a FB Willie Le Roux is good enough for a 2nd Division NZ provincial team Beeno.....just.

Israel Fagg is the best NewZealand have. Now days though he is just a kicker and link player.  Willie Le Roux is a far better tactical player.

Sharkbok: Israel Dagg plays his position within the game plan same as all the All Blacks. 
No denying that Le Roux is a highly creative player & I am sure HM will use him better in the future but he has defensive duties & other positional responsibilities the same as his teammates. We will see how he does next year.

Just Win the Springbok defence was not up to standard at Ellis Park, it was shocking. Players were falling off tackles which is not good enough. Willie included, but Morne Steyn was pathetic. 
Having Jaque Fourie at 13 seems to have improved the positional play on defence, albeit the boks have lost some pace on attack not having JJ.

Sharkbok, the All Blacks defense was also not up to standard at Ellis Park. Just imagine what the scoreline would have been if our defense had been up to par

 Le Roux is a flash in the pan, a gimmick/maverick just like Quade Cooper some days are diamonds and some days are plain shit.

Willie le Roux is NOT a flash in the pan a stated by you - he is a player with ball sense - who instinctively sum up situations and try to turn situations into the favour of his team.  That makes a difference to team performances.


There is a difference between him and other Springbok backline players - the main one being Morne Steyn.  The latter is clueless from a ball sense perspective and is robotic.   Steyn will never be a creative player - Le Roux will always be one.  


Some of Le Roux's plays will not work out - but the majority will - and that makes him an exceptionally good team player.   As such it is not surprising that he had a major hand in virtually all backline tries scored by the Springboks this year and that will continue in future.
