A voice in the wilderness

The new world rugby is so distant and foreign to the great game  of the past…we splutter and struggle… the world has lost it’s values…a bunch of selfish instant pleasure self seeking weaklings…rugby players in top notch don’t come close to the real men of the past and yes it’s not really their fault. It’s just the parasitic money grabbing world that’s deceived our youth.

 

Rugby used to played with sportsmanship, pride, strength of character and no need of financial gain…capitalism and professionalism has made it a fickle competition of money, excessive vanity, idols and gain.

 

This a voice in the wilderness…a post very unpopular but telling the truth which really won’t change anything but I surmise most of you know and know it already  but won’t admit it because it’s very true and upsets our fantasies.

 

I really don’t like super rugby but accept it  because there is nothing else…we just have to make do of what’s left…I fall asleep and take some delight in commercial rugby and follow minnow rugby which is real and authentic and await the next world cup in Japan.

 A bunch of out of shape, slow, beer guzzling fatties vs the modern game? Dream on Chabal.....next you will be pining for the 4 minute mile.

 Yeah, yeah ... we've all heard from you how noble and righteous the New Zealanders are ... and what a sorry lot of unethical people we happen to be. 
We get it.
Save the lecture for someone who gives a sh!t about your opinion.
Money has played a big role in the sport. Countless rugby potential has run off after it ... including the "oh so noble and righteous" Kiwis ...

Most of us are aware of it ... it's a plague ... unless of course your living in the Twilight Zone like this twat above ...
I am sure however that if the same professional era had existed back then it would have been no different.
Human nature remains much the same. We have an unquenchable desire for more embedded in our DNA ... an emptiness that can never be filled.
Carter has made a lot of money playing the sport at home ... yet he's after more ... so much for his royal nobleness.
The world has changed and we along with it.
We have become lovers of self and of money more so than at any other stage in our history ... 
That's just the way it is.

Amen Seb. To paraphrase the late great Mr Bill Hicks "Marketers are the Devil's little helpers. There's a buck on everything." Or to quite he great but not so late Syatem of a Down " Manufacturing consent is the name of the game. The bottom line is money and nobody gives a fcuk." You know the situation is dire when the bloody hippies have the moral high ground. Makes one wanna go live in a cave somewhere and be left alone hunt by day and watch the stars by night haha

 Watch some old games on you tube ,the modern game is streets ahead and far better to watch .And Seb if you think shady sh!t didnt go on back in ye olden days I have a Brexit Bridge in London to sell yer !

Well I expected these comments but it's just the way I see it...of course you're entitled to ridicule it...but arguments with partial truths don't justify what I'm trying to say.

The super series is cheap rugby.... I would enjoy to see more international rugby and have deserving countries like Georgia and Japan and the Pacific Islands to play the so'called big nobs in rugby.

 Cheap rugby ? Seb Georgia and Japan would get flogged by many S18s sides .Rugby is faster and way more entertaining now ,and watching Georgia play Japan isnt exactly a turn on mate.
