AB retirements after the Rugby WC in 2019

There are already rumours and even reports about potential AB retirements from playing test rugby after the RWC in 2019.

The following seems to be on the cards or even confirmed:-

*    Ben Smith

*    SBW

*    Kieran Read

*    Ryan Crotty

*    Dane Coles

The above should not cause too many head-aches for NZ.   They have the following replacements in place:-

*    Ben Smith   -  on the wing George Bridge

*    SBW           -  Ngani Laumape

*    Ryan Crotty -  Jack Goodhue

*    Read          -    Akira Ioane

*    Dane Coles  -  Codie Taylor

There are other more elderly players in the NZ squads at present whose performances are becoming questionable  - so are there any others of the elderly who may go to NH clubs to earn their additional pension money?     

These "elderly " players ,would those be the ones that helped NZ to yet another Super title ,RCs,RWCs and the list goes on .

I forgot to add Crotty to the list - but Goodhue is a better alternative anyway.   I will add him and Coles to the list.

I am not really worried by age - more so by PERFORMANCE and in that aspect the above players have gone backwards since 2015 and badly so.

How about you worry about your players ,I dont recall them winning any trophies these last 9 years or so .Maybe they are too sloww or something.

Then you have not read my posts and my criticism by the ton about what was wrong with SA rugby and the drips we had as coaches.  

I only make occasional references to NZ rugby and in particular praising some of the new players I had the pleasure of seeing playing.   

I am always watching out for tendencies in performance of players and to be quite frank I do not enjoy watching some players and seeing how they are not the assets they used to be.  

Concern yourself with South African Rugby.

You wouldn't know the first thing about NZ Rugby.

@Wardad: Ben Smith cut the Boks up badly in Wellington. In fact, he was by far the best Kiwi back. I still rate him highly.
