...With less than an hour to the team naming,

...Faumainia, TKB , Naholo, NMS,  Messam and Slade to name a few that were in doubt  have been shown on TV making their way to the Beehive...

...the presence of TKB and Colin Slade could suggest Sopoaga has missed out..

...the sighting of Naholo a real surprise...narrowing the odds of Dagg and Piutau's inclusion...

What to watch out for: There is unlikely to be a really controversial omissions. If Waisake Naholo makes it after fracturing a leg in June, universal attention will focus on the traditional Fijian healing methods which he claims have enabled the speedy recovery...

..Some All Black debates: Whether to take three or four locks (and thus five or six loose forwards), two or three halfbacks, three or four first five-eighths (includes utilities Beauden Barrett and Colin Slade). In the case of the locks, the lack of an outstanding number four option means a loosie like veteran Jerome Kaino might be used to back up the top three. The All Blacks had a squad of 25 for the first World Cup in 1987, and Bruce Deans and Frano Botica didn't play a game. The limit was 30 at the last tournament.

What the others nations are doing: Most countries will use the 17/14 split but Samoa has named 18 forwards and Welsh coach Warren Gatland is among those considering this. Compromises are needed, whatever the decision.

Look forward to this.

Can't say I'm expecting any surprises.

It would be amazing to see Naholo's name in the mix.

Could easily be the player of the tournament.

I take it you'll post the squad once announced ... right?

Is Israel Dagg injured?

I don't see his name.

I though Codie Taylor would get the nod.

He must be jumping out his skin.

Milner Skudder ... well deserved selection.

Potent team.

...Dagg is fine...scoring hattricks for his province atm...just too much talent in our outside backs to include everyone...some saying Piutau is being punished for announcing his departure for the NH...but great players to have on call in the event of any injuries...

...Clou dy , Messam leads a mean haka...

That Fijian medicine man will be in demand as Naholo's recovery is astounding ........ although it's rumoured that he's been looking after Matfield for years .

I wouldn't complain, Lara.

That's a single lonely injury.

We have 30% of our squad in the ICU ... including the captain with his wi red up jaw.

CC: actually I count three players who have injuries or are still coming back from injuries: Nahalo, Charlie Faumuina and TKB.

Beeno: if that were the case (which it is not) the poor wee boks would have been beaten by a ballet troop.
