McCaw was "harashly penalized" four times - bloody lucky he was not yellow-carded. All the pealties stemmed from infringements made by McCaw for routine breaking of the law by him - nothing harsh about that one.

...not so clever mike... from memory a couple of weeks back Joubert had to apologise to the Crusaders for the decision that cost them an eighth Super Rugby crown....
...Richie McCaw was penalised in the 79th minute of the final for entering a ruck from the side, with the Waratahs slotting the subsequent penalty goal for the game and title....
...the question is has Joubert learnt anything from that ??... everyone except him knows McCaw is an absolute saint that can do no wrong...same thing happened to Jaco Peyper in the first Bledisloe and he was forced to apologise... Seth African refs need to lift their game mate....Andre Watson is putting them crook by the looks and needs locking up .

Brycy why do only the Kiwis get these "forced" apologies? There was some bad reffing in Perth with Habanas yellow and the same for the Aussies in Argie but I don't recall any forced apologies. Can't be the squeaky wheel theory otherwise the Saffas would always be apologised too. Just can't work it out.

Hooper outplayed mcaaaw by a big margin! Chalk and chease stuff.
How in the world does conrad get an 8!! A way out call.
Then we have Adam ranked equally with carol jane!!! Nonsense Adam was far better.

Then again - the penalty you referred to was not the first one given against McCaw in the final. It was the third one - and that is the problem. McCaw is a serial offender at present and referees are aware of that - so that may have influenced Joubert in that case. So don't try the Mozart trick of avoiding the issue mentioned in respect of the test on Saturday.
By the way I think Joubert had a near perfect reffing game on Saturday - but if the AB's lost thattest - he would have been blamed for the loss. Ypou lot are as bad as Beeno is when it comes to moaning about refereeing.

...Claydog it's a good idea and the NZ way to confront these errant referees face to face and get them to try and explain their actions which they often cannot hence the apologies...whereas other nations, not the Aussies mind you, might start some Facebook hate campaign, send death threats etc instead which is not our style...

not so clever mike... I see Joubert has the honor of reffing the biggest game in the history of American rugby between NZ and the yanks next month....what a privilege to be reffing the greatest franchise in sporting history ie the Mighty ABs against the USA...hope his head doesn't get too big...
