Steyn 16 runs.... 119 metres....1 clean break....4 defenders beaten.

Lambie 12 runs...72 metres....no clean breaks....1 defender beaten.

Goosen 13 runs....67 metres.....1 clean break...no defenders beaten.

Jantjies 9 runs.... 63 metres ...no clean breaks.....1 defender beaten.

Steyn has run more often , gained more metres per run, beat more defenders per run and made one of two clean breaks. A little counter intuitive one might almost say. At 7.44 metres per run, the Bools should be chanting run, run, run.....rather than, ....skop, skop, skop.

As much as I have no time for Morne as a player, he was the best SA 10 this weekend

Not sure where you get your stats ... I'll take your word for it though.

Steyn is looking good. His confidence seems to be back. Playing weak opposition was just what the doc ordered.

Having said that, you are as good as your opponent allows. A hapless Stormers with Jantjies ruining any chance of a good test and an out of sorts Force, who were previously thumped by the new boys on the block, may put your stats more into perspective.

It's early days ... let see how they fare against the Blues this Sunday.

I said, before things kicked off this year, that Steyn would have to have a massive Super Rugby season if he even wanted a sniff at getting the Springbok no.10 jersey. So far he is doing just that. I didn't watch the Cheetahs/Chiefs gme, but I think that by playing for a weak side, Goosen isn't doing himself any favours. I guess he still managed to sine in that same side last year, so good luck to him. Lambie.....I know I stand alone on him, but I just don't think he is as good as the hype would suggest.

Not sure I agree with you Capone, because even crap teams have good games. The Force did just that on Saturday. The Bulls were still well below par, but the Force punched well above their weight and nearly made the Bulls pay. It has happened countless times in Super Rugby, a confident team thinks they can just pitch up and they'll get given 5 points. ALL the top teams have been cought out by that mindset.

Sure ... I'll give you that. It happens. Twice in a row though???? They were below par last weekend as well. This is not the team you thought they were. From what I saw, personally, I think they're in for a disappointing season. Usually one would expect a major onslaught after a poor performance like that, yet they came in to collect their 5 points and nearly lost the match. You guys need an attitude adjustment. Perhaps you should leave the pink jerseys, pink broekie, pink sokkies and onderbroekie as well as forget about singing embarrassing songs to the public ... rather concentrate on rugby issues. Word has it you guys are actually a rugby team ... not a church choir.

Morne Steyn in essence remains a kicking flyhalf and I am scared stiff by that particular aspect on their coming game against the Blues.  That game will be lost by a large margin just because of the Morne kicking away balls  strategy.   The Blues will not kick balls back - they are going to run at the Bulls and the end-result will be catastrophic.

Add to that their issues on the ground.

Arno is not a opensider. If the Bulls don'T select a proper opensider to compete at the breakdown they're in for a tough 80 minutes.
