Ageing Bok squad

It’s hard to believe Etzebeth is 30 already and many of his fellow squad members are a similar age. This is fine for now but not the near future. We need to start introducing younger players from 2022. Of the current squad the likes of Willie and Vermeulen have shown signs of nearing the end. Frans Steyn is long past it and the likes of Mostert and Orie need to be dumped The likes of Mapimpi, Kolbe, Am, Kriel, de Allende, Jantjies , Faf, Reinach, Kitshoff, Koch, Malherbe, Mbonambi, Etzebeth, Lood, PSDT, Kwagga and Kolisi have a good few years left in them. The younger squad members include Fassi, Nkosi, Willemse, Pollard, Jantjies, Hendrikse, Williams, Ox, Thomas du Toit, Dweba, Marx, Moerat, RG, Wiese and v Staaden The likes of Gelant, Penxe, Similane, Nohamba, Wilco Louw, Grobelaar, JL du Preez and Dan du Preez have been in the squad so are in the picture What other youngsters out there could force their way into the squad At fullback there is Kriel of the Bulls who looks pretty useful. Baby Bok Quin Horn really impressed me, he looks the real deal. Played most of his school rugby and provincial U20 rugby at 13. Young wings include Tyrone Green, Tambwe, Stiaan Pienaar, Jacobs and Maxwane Centres include Rickus Pretorious, Gans, Marnus Potgieter, Henco v Wyk, Marius Louw and James Mollentze Young fly halves include Hendrikse, Chamberlain and Bosch Scrumhalves: vd Bergh, Ivan v Zyl, Papier and Zak Burger Props include Boan Venter, Gerhard Steenkamp, Sadie, JJ Wessels and Mchunu Hooker Mbatha Locks Jason Jenkins, Ruben Schoeman, Ruben v Heerden, JD Schickerling, vd Mecht, Walt Steenkamp, Janko Swanepoel and David Meihuizen Loosies include Ivan Roos, Elrigh Louw, Kobus Wiese, Jaco Coetzee, Tshituka, Augustus, James Venter, Xaba, Buthelezi, Ackerman and Liebenberg Time to bring some of these youngsters into the squad

Agreed but we need to build for the future as post the next WC the core will be past it or close. Keep the core but bring in new youngsters not 28 year olds
