Lambie and Stepfontein to take note of how Frans deals with an overlap. He doesn't reverse like Step did in the first try and Lambie did in the second. He advances at the last second and stops the passer dead in his tracks, negating the pass. In fact watch all the centre tackling...big guys like Fury and Frans putting in real hits. Man we have come so far from physicality in our centres we have forgotten what it's all about.

Two big, powerful men intent on tackling hard makes a huge difference...it won't happen with JJ, Stepfontein or Die Allende. Man we need Frans and JP back in the mix. The best Bok backlines are always physical.

Moz: I watched it & yes some big hits for sure but physicality is not enough win games by itself.
My view is the Boks fans so love the big hit, the dominating pack, man-handling players all over the field that they lose their wits (shark like feeding frenzy). They always look so stunned when they look up to see they have lost the game. Boks need better ball handling skills across the park.

We should have both JW ....powerful centres and forwards who can handle. We have missed Schalk, as a distributor

Schalk does have that skill for sure (and great ball handling skills) but he is one of the few that seem to play that role in the bok pack.
Plus, will he make it to the RWC? As a bench player maybe but he has come back from serious injury & a life threatening injury the Boks need more like him IMO.

Unlikel y Schalk will get back to where he was...same with Juan Smith. To be honest much of this is coaching....Eddie Jones changed the Bok team's handling in a few weeks before RWC07.

Ypou are bloody dilly to blame S erfomnnetein and Lambuie for th e two tries - completely AWOL of the brain.   The bugger ups were made by Morne in te first instance - so w hy go for others?

I have attributed the blame to Morne for his missed touch....but now we had to tackle the opponents. Jean did his best, he closed off the outside and stopped Tomua. But Steppie was trailing by three strides, enough for Folau to restore some momentum. And then pass out of Steppie's tackle to Kuridrani. Lambie was then stuck somehere ....out there...not connected to anything. But he faithfully planted himself as the Oz centre raced about 10 metres onto him. And allowed the offload for the try.

That's why I mention Steppie and Lambie.

de Allende is more physical than Jean and Fourie.
Serfontein is as physical as Jean and Fourie.
JJ is not as physical as Jean or Fourie.
Frans is the most physical of them all.

Yep 1.83m is 6ft which is what I am and people on this site who have met me in person will vouch for that very fact. Without a tape measure everyone of Becs, Rooi and Mike would without reservation say that I was around the 6ft mark. You are just a bare faced liar.
As for my take on the physicality of the centres it is 100% spot on

Really ? I am smaller than that...but probably that height in my cripple boots. I suppose if you had seen me without them on you would realise I am shorter........
But only by half an inch or so !!

Well done you. Very good perception of height, Mr S

Dave you may wish to be six feet, you may have put six feet in your mouth already today, you may know people who are six feet, your  progeny may be six feet......but you are 5' 10.5". How do I know that? Because I am 5' 11.5 " and I only wear high fashion, thin soled Italian shoes. And you were still an inch shorter than me in your thick soled boots. End of.

And Moffie you have been exposed as the liar you are by others that have met me in person and there is NO way in hell you were any taller than me at all, dream on.

You were of average height like I am....the only difference being that I am built like a real man and you are built like a girl

I did not follow this thread before - but when I saw what you wrote above - it just shows ypour idicoy again.  When did Frans make a line break this year?   In the Crusaders game Crotty mistakenly went out of line and there was a gap open in front of him.  If Steyn cpould not take advantage of that one opportunity he ahd this year - he would have been a poorer player that he really is.
Just find me one case where Steyn made a line break this year please.  Therew was none.  He was the worst player in that regard in Super 15 - and you name him as an example for other players  - what a farce.

Bloo  the height is unimportant, and the lie is amusing. Would you bet on a poster (Dave), who  claims saying he would bet on the Worlds is not a prediction they are going to win? Think about it! This fella is a short, fat toad....but  he does tell some tall tales.

Ooh Moffie calls me a liar when 3 other posters have met me in person and confirmed that this wanker is lying about my height, weight etc.......but alas he is still stupid enough to believe that his version of me is the truth and that by implication the other 3 are lying......how stupid is this plonker........but best of all, he keeps digging

Nice one old man.....4 against 1 and you must be right........bwaaahaaaa

Talk about a liar exposed......keep digging Moffie

Can't say I've seen them call you 6 ft Dave. But even if they did, at 5' 11.5 " I am the perfect measurement standard and you were an inch shorter. Your original call of 178 cms puts you at exactly 5 ft 10.1 inches....that's where you are.  The rest is probably your boots vs my Guccis.

Moffie what part of Becs saying I was 6ft did you miss?
Do you think that lying about me saying I was 1.78m carries weight. Stop lying old man.
As for you being taller than me that is a joke. But you are built like a girl.
