As can be seen on the main site here, Allistair Coetzee has moaned a bit regarding the amount of player that should be registered for the S15 season. Looking at the attrition rate, I think it would be a wise move from the Power that be if they could up the number and Mr Coetzee might have a point there. Well it's eiter that or shorten the season and we all know they won't shorten the season.
You can never foresee what is going to happen during a season, no matter what happens. They might do it in future though, to accommodate the new idea of having an 8-man bench wit an extra specialist prop. For the present though, I think that the Stormers just got their squad wrong, by taking precaution against what happened with them last year with the injuries to their flyhalves. They over compensated for some reason. Just because all the flyhalves got injured in 2010, doesn't mean that it was going to happen again in 2012. Before bringing in Sinclair, they had 2 players in each position, bar the flyhalves, hookers and fullback. They have three flyhalves, three hookers and one fullback. Shit happens.
Yeah understood, however you have to feel for Alistair. He also now has to break up a Vodacom side the week before their final. Damn these things have repercussions. I hope they go with Armand rather than Fenton Wells, not because the one is better than the other, but purely because Fenton wells is the Vodacom captain. Not team will be happy to lose their Captain before a final.
