Notable selections are: J Barrett at 15 and B Smith at 14, Crotty is back & is paired with ALB, B. Barrett is back at 10. Solid midfield for defense and very good attacking capacity in the backline.   Ioane is back on the wing.   SBW on the bench as this is the first game back after injury.  McKenzie on bench giving coverage to a lot of positions and a real spark when he comes on.
In forwards, big Karl starts.  You will notice our locks and forwards have short necks so we will have to see if PSDT's long neck is an advantage or disadvantage. One of the many sub-plots of the game

Strong side. Jordie probably the weakest link, and that's not saying much. That backline is big trouble.

would like to know what Jordie Barrett has done to deserve to be included,... he's a very good prospect but he's not yet btwin the best 4 outside backs

IMO Jack Goodhue is the best 13 but ALB is playing as well as him,... so no problem there,... and at least SBW is   not starting

Liam Squire needs to up his game after Frizell's performance last weekend,... Sam cane need to show something also, he's been quite underperforming this year

let see what Tuipulotu can bring from the bench,... he got a hat-trick in the first half against Tasman recently

still a mistake to have DMac as the nº10 backup

Jordie is living of Beudeans rep, and he is certainly the weak link.
Scott Barrett is a poor man's Jaws, but he is a workhorse. Not much natural ability, but he gives it 80 minutes.
Kieran Reid is a praat, that will annoy everyone. He is past his best, but still irritating none the less, and does offer some cheating at the ruck.Sam Cane will enter the ruck from any position except the legal one.
Lienert Brown is ok, certainly better than Jessica Kriel but that is not saying much.
Even when the All Blacks put a team on paper that only contains "some" superstars combined with relatively average Joe's they still do well. Their passing skills and running lines make them combine better as a team.

ABF, I think that Mo'unga still needs more game time but he has to wait a bit longer to get it. He is more of a pure 10 than McKenzie so we will see what happens by the RWC. McKenzie is a danger no matter what position he plays. Bringing him from the bench he's even more lethal. B. Barrett is the same.

sure he needs more gametime,... and this game was one of the best chances to give it to him,... the AB need to do it if only in case of injuries (that always happen),... the next 3 games are going to be away,... argies at home are dangerous,... then SA and Aus less dangerous but still playing away,...

this game was perfect to play Mo'unga at 10 and BB at FB,... boks are aimless,... cannot defend, no structure, lack any consistency as a team,... and this combination is worth a shot,... IMO this combination can form a backline comparable with the bests seen on a field with the likes of Crotty, ALB-Goodhue, Ioane and B. Smith,...

So let's look at that team.... Barrett, Ben Smith, Iaone and Aaron Smith are world class players....the rest of the backline are decent enough, but not exceptional. The front row is ordinary except for Taylor's general play Whitelock is a great, but without Jaws it's not a fearsome combination The back row is well balnced, but not excessively potent. So in terms of the building blocks a strong team....but not the best NZ team we have played. The cohesion and confidence makes them one. The overwhelming likelyhood is they will drill us on Saturday, but not because they are overwhelmingly better man for man. Can the Boks grasp this and become the warriors of yesteryear....probably not...but it's not impossible.

I would put up Tu'unkaafse against any other player going around .

Frizzel and wee Goodhue should be at least a bench option.

SBW has been withdrawn due to illness and will be replaced by Goodhue. Goodhue will do the job and it is impressive the way he has fit in so well into the ABs.
