Fergie passed away from throat cancer at age 78 ,a proper rugby man was Fergie.

Syd Nomis on tour with the AB's in South Africa won me a lot of money. They said the AB's lacked a kicker on that tour, if my memory serves me well it was Syd who stepped up and did the honors.

RIP Fergie.

Draad, I remember well the furore over Nomis losing his teeth vs Fergie’s elbow! Why isn’t Syd flavour of the week?

Well, he wasn't in the news lately and at 76, I doubt he'd be playing Suber Rugby any time soon.

Sorry Draad, over here not being “flavour of the week” means he’s unpopular for some reason!

OK, over here, when you are the flavour of the week, you are in the news, on everybody's lips, popular...etc...you get my drift. When you are not, you just aren't.  Not the opposite of that, just not in the news.... W hat I was trying to say was that he is almost forgotten and only folks of that era still remembers him...and some of us rugby nutters of coarse.

Sorry for the confusion.
