Hore also without Super Rugby home 17 September 2013, 10:10

Andrew Hore joined Ma'a Nonu on Tuesday as an All Black without a Super Rugby home, fuelling speculation he is on the verge of retirement.

The Otago Highlanders confirmed they have not re-signed Hore for the 2014 season, and said they wished the 79-test All Blacks hooker well "with whatever future endeavours he undertakes".

The 35-year-old has not made any statement about his future, but All Blacks coach Steve Hansen indicated retirement was close when he named Dane Coles to start at hooker against the Springboks on Saturday.

Hansen said Coles was seen as part of the All Blacks squad being groomed for the 2015 World Cup.

"I do not see Horey being there and I don't think he sees himself being there," Hansen said.

Meanwhile, all five New Zealand franchises have shut the door on Nonu who is now believed to be looking at the option of playing in France.

Nonu, who has played 82 tests, has developed a reputation as a player unable to produce his test form at Super Rugby level.

this is old news, its beend discussed by the kiwis here many times before.

hores an old man and is expected to retire after the RC/4nats, so heres hoping hope he plays in the ellis park test for one last hurrah, he deserves to go out with a win, :oP

as for the highlanders, liam coltman is an awesome replacement and will do the job just fine, he is now the iuncumbent hooker and brayden mitchell is now the landers rake back up.

but im more interested to see if jospeh is smart enough to get ged robinson on board, he was a beast for the rebels and hes playing ok rugby in the ITM, just not at that spXV level weve seen for the last two years.
still, hes worth a spot on the higlanders squad.

good luck hore, all the best with ur future endevours.

Not a fan of Hore ,dont care how well hes played hes still got a whiff of grubbiness about him on and off the field .No big loss there .

Wardad: yeah, I agree on Hore & the grubbiness. He is not the best representative of the All Blacks. Damn good at the breakdown though.

Ged Robinson is playing for Hawkes bay next year ,a whole bunch of guys have left the Rebels including Richard Kingi {NZ} and Cooper Vuna . I knew Kingi was a Kiwi cos he's a distant relly ,but Vuna is eligable too .Hang about Kingi was in the wallaby training squad ?

Yep, Hore kind of lost it for me with his baby killer conviction . Fine player though, like a mini Bismarck .
