For the All Blacks, it doesn't get much better than this.

Six from six in the Rugby Championship, scoring a maximum 30 from 30 points.

That's right. For the first time in history, a team recorded a bonus point win in every match.

Now, the All Blacks are just one game away from clinching the record for most wins by a tier one nation.

With such dominance, the stats are understandably incredible. Picking just a handful almost seems unfair.

Still, we've done our best to give you the head-turners and the eye-poppers.

38 to five

Take your pick at what's more breathtaking.

The fact the All Blacks scored 38 tries in six matches, six more than all the other three teams combined, or the fact they conceded just five tries throughout the whole Rugby Championship.

Either way, in 480 minutes of rugby, giving up five tries amounts to a try every 96 minutes.

Seven per cent

70 tries were scored in the Rugby Championship this year.

That means just seven per cent of the total tries scored were against the All Blacks.

Compare that with 23 per cent against Australia, 31 per cent against South Africa and 39 per cent against Argentina.

Tries not penalties

The All Blacks aren't in the business of taking easy points.

They'd rather go for the jugular instead of getting three more on the board.

This shows in the fact the All Blacks have only slotted six penalty goals this Rugby Championship.

In comparison, Australia hit 12, Argentina 18 and South Africa 19.

Quick Play

Phase play is key for some nations - not the All Blacks.

25 of their 38 tries came from just three phases or less.

Beautiful Beaudy

It makes sense that fly-halves would occupy the top of the points scoring table, as is the case with this year's competition.

Beauden Barrett sits at the top with 81 points, with Argentine Nicolas Sanchez and Wallaby Bernard Foley in second position with 53 a piece. South Africa's Morne Steyn is fourth with 42 points.

But what's more amazing, is the fact that three of those four haven't scored more than a single try.

In fact, Foley is the only player to score one.

Barrett, on the other hand, has four to his name.

That's the average scoreline for the All Blacks.

No other team has a positive margin.

Argentina: 22-36
Australia: 20-25
South Africa: 20-30

30 missed tackles a game

The All Blacks average just 12 missed tackles a game. Well under their competitors with Argentina, South Africa and Australia averaging 20, 23, and 25 respectively.

Conversely, the All Blacks forced a whopping 30 missed tackles a game.

An amazing team for sure ABF we are lucky that it's in our era to witness it.
 I see Eddie Jones say he will beat the AB and that the Poms are developing their own style of play. Good for him as we need to see what this team can do when pushed to the edge. Will they have the determination and spirit of last years team? Of course Eddie could be full of hot air

Plus he knows that they're not due to meet until 2018 .

 While I feel for our saffa friends its a bloody great time to be an ABs fan !If we loan you saffas Beaudy will you promise to look after him and put the poms to the sword fer us ? He likes warm milk and whiskey before bed and no low thread count sheets as they chafe him and make him wake up all tired and grumpy .Just wash him  and comb him down after the game thanks !

 Best keep him away from these shores.

 ABs have nobody left to play with.

 They may well turn the British and Irish Lions into a new floor covering next year .

I suppose if I say this is arrogant and boastful I'll only be initiating a whole series of tearful and self-righteous posts all bleating about how humble and modest the ABs and their fans are . . . so I won't.

Come on the British Lions!!!

 It does not take to be an AB supporter to realize the rugby world situation.

Football still features several in shape international footballs that contend on a regular basis for a world crown.

In rugby, the situation is totally different.

NZ international rugby is the only healthy rugby. The others' situations ranges from serious troubles to crisis.

AUS: the closest thing to a contender to NZ. Their lack of depth in player pool condemns them to the seat of the eternal challenger as they can not further their efforts. Serious troubles.

SA: a overhyped marketing participant that relies on its past to impose itself a major actor. The conception of rugby is outdated and supporting elements like training of players inadequate. Added to that, their team are not representative of the country (few players sport SA names for example) and as a consequence of the governance by excellent men, the necessary refoundation is not possible.
In deep crisis.

FR: international rugby is crushed by club rugby that makes all the money. In order to hype up the domestic tournament, the tournament opened up to foreigners, meaning a lack of room for french players to practise.
In addition, the domestic league rugby is not similar to NZ international rugby, and closer to the SA conception, made of scrummages and over reliance on refereeing, begging for penalties.
Not only french players are unsufficiently drilled at club level, but they are drilled in a loser rugby.
In deep crisis.

ENG: situation similar to FR, except that they closed their domestic league to foreign influence and  reject any player who do not play domestically. Clubs are deep into debt. ENG is also confused on the type of rugby to play, they tried for some time fluid rugby, failed to convince and now are returning to their past loser rugby conception.
In deep crisis.

WAL, SCO and IR: all in deep crisis for lack of means, they are always threatened to be eaten up by their bigger neigbours and are too small to sustain professionalism.


In football, there are three or four teams and the others. In rugby, there is NZ and the others.

It is not a lack of modesty to admit this.


On the B&I lions tour: AB players perform their best when they play in the AB team.
They are not a simple collection of the best  NZ players (like the B&I lions and others are)
They are players who can play together.

That tour is a marketing event, it is all hype. It will put people on  seats for sure but in concept, the B&I team is like a charity game team: lots of high profile names without the cohesion of a team.
