All Black legends back Ian Fosters claim that the All Blacks style of rugby is not rewarded by the current laws of the game that sees defensive teams that focus more of 1st phase beating better atttacking teams.

The way the Bok 13 shoots out to form the umbrella rush defence kills main overlap s, even if it is does get breached by a skip pass to the wing, every so often.

RUgby is not entertaining.

WR can not afford all teams skipping playing rugby as SA rugby does.

Yep, teams that are in charge of promoting the game of rugby are at a disadvantage when facing a team who skips the duty.

Nothing new. The point was made years ago on this board.

Utter nonsense! These fools want to force everyone to adopt their style of play...imagine how boring that will be...all teams playing the same, no room for innovation and individualism...commie mindset.

The Irish/Bokke game was the best match in te RWC so far...Wilson and Kirwan sound like petulant children...

Floyd Mayweather will go down as one of the greatest boxers who ever walked this planet....that is a given

Personally I believe he waited for some people to get past their prime before taking them on, but that is my own personal belief, and I am also not a massive fan of how he hand picked some of his opponents throughout his career.

However ...the biggest, and most often talked about criticism that Floyd got, and still does.... is that he was a very boring / scared fighter.... and in a lot of cases, I guess he could have been.... because he would literally run around the ring, avoiding his opponents ..... and the most high profile examples of this fighting style and behaviour, is when he fought guys like Manny Pacman, and Madaina .

He avoided being hit or getting hurt .... which is precisely what boxing is all about, hit and not get hit ....and he continued on to create a 50-0 undefeated record.

If Floyd had listened to the critics, including myself, he would have probably fought a lot more offensively, taken more chances, opened himself up more.... just to appease the crowds .... and possibly been knocked out at some point in his career...or experienced a loss....

Fuck the crowd, fuck the critics ..... play or fight to your own strengths...

Our 12/13 shooting out of line has been exploited many times for scoring chances. But you're not going to breach it by being orthodox and just shifting the ball around.

Suddenly, people felt targeted.

Utter nonsense! These fools want to force everyone to adopt their style of play...

The call for diversity is ironical, it is supposed.

Rugby is not football. The problem is nothing new, rugby union is regularly voted as the most boring sport by sport fans.

Football knew one major change in rules, the offline decision. Dimissing here the VAR mistake.

Football also had a spell of boringness, it was dealt with without changing more the rules. One change in the rule and that is. Decades ago. Football teams work with the same framework to deliver the entertaining sport shows they deliver.

Rugby, on the other hand, is stuck, year after year, changes in rules in order to make the game exciting, entertaining. It is a massive problem for rugby.

The Irish/Bokke game was the best match in te RWC so far

Best match, how. Certainly not the most entertaining, players were too focused on being brutal.

The cleanest game, the most technical one etc If that is the case, it would set the general nlevel of this WC as low.

One guy among many, and boxing was not in the same box as rugby, boxing was considered as entertaining, it may no longer be or be outcompeted by stuff like MMA but it was entertaining.

The video goes on a trend. This boxing dude did not drive a following suit.

Rugby stage is such that teams must be committed to deliver entertaining games. Seeing a trend that teams that do not commit win is bothering.

Sooner or later, teams must win and teams will adopt the style that gets to win. The more teams adopt the boring style, the more rugby fails to turn entertaining.

At the end of the day, two teams, one winner, one loser. Football took the observation to the heart and determined that an entertaining game just as a boring game may have a winner and a loser. Football teams made their decision.

I enjoy all styles of rugby but enjoy the game more when both the backs and forwards show what they can do. I'm not so keen on negative rugby the word "jackal" sums that up. The style of play that just waits for an error or forces an error is not my favorite for sure. Right now you see defences rush up and players focusing on the turnover. So, a wonderful break and great display of skill by the backs can be negated because the player is too far away from his support. This can stifle back play as elusive backs always have to slow down to ensure enough support players are there for the cleanout.  Sadly the more defensive style of play wins RWC. Hopefully we will see a more balanced style of play this time around as the top teams also have some very good backs.

Yes, the nr. 1 an 2 teams did just that...you're just to narrow minded to enjoy a proper game of rugga.

I think most fans agree that matches like the one we saw with SA vs Ireland are far more enjoyable than a 100 point drubbing !

a proper game of rugga.

It makes a lot of people narrow minded, starting with rugby governing bodies.

Circularity is the name of the game for liberals.

Already answered that point, if indeed this game was proper rugby, it means that rugby when properly played is not entertaining as a sport.
