 Awesome team. Picking Abs by 13+. Good to see Beudan get a start. Potentially world class With the solid Slade as cover. DC needs game time. But they made the right decision. Barratt deserves it.

I am a bit surprised by the no 10 situation.   Carter seems to be not ready for test level rugby.   He actually looked poor on Saturday and that against the Scottish team -so I cn underrstand why he was not included.
But what about Cruden?   Is he injured or just out of favour?
I must admit that neither the All Blacks nor the Springboks look really convincing  enough on their EOYT and obviously also not the Wallabies.   The Springboks lost against Ireland and looked better against England, but on the whole made a mess of their EOYT by losing badly to Ireland.     

True mike. But maybe its a reflection of the end of a long season. And NH teams improoving. All Three SH teams need to make a statement this WE. As for Cruden it may just be rotation. But I think Barrats a talent and deserves the chance. Carters a long way off his best, needs a super rugby season under his belt. Cruden if not starting is not very good off the bench. Tbh elder of started Slade, he looks the goods, reliable goal kicker too. But see how Barratt goes.

You know I am a Slade admirer - the most underrated flyhalf in NZ.  Barrett looks good in certain mactches and barely adequate in others.  To my mind he really is an impact player.
As to Carter - the quaetion is whether he will get through Super 15 without a serious injury.   I may be wrong - but I think the spirit may be there in his case - but the body took such a battering through the years - that it may be letting him down.  
From what I have seen in his latest few matches - Carter has become more of a kicking and passing flyhalf incapable of really imposing himself in a match.  He used to be a very good attacking player himself- but there has been no signs of that recently.   His kicking is pin-point accurate - but is that all that is required for an international flyhalf?  Great as he always was - I think his international career may not survive until the WC next year.    

 ou maaaike get a grip man we dominated Ireland as all the stats show and messed up with handling.Against England we were actually 20 points better.All this with the Bok side missing a number of players due to injury and poor selections.
The wee abs are try ing to bolster their pap backline as having a pap pack and a pap backline spells big trouble. Only a ref error allowed them to beat England B.
Carter is a fading star and wee mcaaaw a disastar. Bent read is falling apart against tough packs and the abs scrum is soft as well. Whitelock barely features etc etc.

 Boks & ABs experimented a lot on this tour so it is no surprise that the Boks lost & the ABs looked scratchy against Scotland. 
A really good team picked this weekend - I agree 3ku1 ! Looking forward to seeing them play: SBW, Barrett; Slade, our starting locks... I could go on & on. ABs should be convincing in this game - they are not taking Wales lightly.
On Cruden, if he doesn't start he doesn't make the team. The reason is he only plays in one position. This makes him vulnerable for the RWC. IMO they should try and get him up to speed as cover for other positions or else they will invest more in Carter, Barrett, Slade as each of them can cover multiple positions and this is what is needed at the RWC.

 JW lets just get the Crude to cover one position first. Apart from scrummie I cant imaginge him ever being able to play elsewhere. He is possibly the frailist wee flyh alf around. Forever on the lookout for Vermuelen etc.

Yes, Beeno we are spoiled for choice at most positions. There is no vicious debate among AB supporters about the 10 position or any other. There is no angst, hand-wringing or whinging either. This is because we have a coach and a system that develops players. 
We do not dump a player into any position like you guys did to wee Pollard & those before him (too many to list). How many times have we heard about the latest savior only to see the ill prepared chap get injured and/or suffer a loss of coincidence?
At least the wee Lamb is back & looking good & if Meyer manages his time & Pollard's time you might be on the right track with one position. Lock? Loose forward (other than 8?) Outside backs? A lot of question marks Beeno & time is running out. 
Please don't let us down again with a sub-standard wimpy performance. Rugby needs the Boks to be their best
