All Blacks number one for 46 months and counting

New Zealand have strengthened their position as the number one side in the IRB World Rankings after beating nearest challengers South Africa 29-15 at Eden Park on Saturday to remain unbeaten in The Investec Rugby Championship 2013.

The All Blacks, who have occupied top spot in the rankings for the last 46 months, have increased their rating by just over three tenths to 92.07 and now have a 3.56 point cushion over South Africa with two rounds of The Rugby Championship remaining.

Even on the back of their first defeat of 2013, South Africa still sit nearly three rating points above the leading northern hemisphere team, England in third with Australia a further two points adrift in fourth.

Australia hung on to beat Argentina 14-13 in the weekend’s other Rugby Championship encounter in Perth to record their first win under new coach Ewen McKenzie. However, the victory on home soil had no impact on the rankings with Argentina remaining in 10th.

The Rugby Championship continues on 28 September when South Africa host Australia in Cape Town and New Zealand travel to La Plata to face Argentina.

How can you argue with just straight out facts ? you know what they are ? not woulda ,shoulda ,coulda or whatever pops into ya head !Not the world as viewed through bean-dips barely working eye or conjecture or pontificating on what you reckon things oughta be .But just actual facts !

 Don't think anyone can argue Sasue, even if it is a boast - might have squeaked past a few and lost one or two, but definitely the most consistent performers and the team everyone outside NZ loves to beat and see lose.

All Blacks are number one no one can argue with that this is what the ratings show. We also know the Boks have improved and if the were number one we would hear about.

SA fans are a little raw right now so this thread is "salt in the wounds" I am sure but given the denials of beeno, redsman and the constant snipping and lack of acceptance by many/most SA posters on this site of the fact that the All Blacks won, it should not be a surprise that AB posters are firing back.

Of course you would be ... how could you not ... being protected by the IRB guarantees it.
