A very good team with some key players missing. Still hopefully this team is good enough to get the job done.

Where is Moo-Unga?  Not even on the bench. Mckenzie has more utility value of the bench as he can cover more positions.

Both Whitelock and Richie Mo’unga are in quarantine and will be available for the 2 October game. Aaron Smith is also not available.

Looks wicked! Hopefully they come out blazing, just have to keep their set piece neat AF. Mostly the ABs line outs, can’t give the Boks anything to work with. Cool to see the new All Blacks get a piece of the Springboks, Akira particularly. Glad Retallick is back for this one. Pity no Whitelock, but S Barrett is starting to get his shit together. Bring it on!!!

Going with Jordie at 15 makes sense, he’s bigger & more stable than McKenzie. McKenzie is great but less structured & having him on the bench gives us cover in 3 positions. Both are good under the high ball & goal kicking. For sure Beauden needs someone else taking shots at goal. Ps Scottt Barrett is developing nicely. Whitelock is better but Barrett will do the job. Really glad to see Blackadder on the bench. He’s a non-stop machine & tough as nails. Good player against the Boks.

JW, Whitelock didn’t end up going to Oz. They didn’t think he’d be able to get back up to speed with only a few days to train after a 14 day stand down. Mounga will be available for Boks Test No.2.&

You are right of course Moolaa, According to a Canterbury news paper:

"He’s expected to remain with Canterbury for another fortnight, before rejoining the All Blacks for their northern tour, which kicks off with a test against the USA in Washington on October 23."

My son and I have tickets for that game

Wow ... That's a strong side.

Even their bench looks like a weapon.

Gooooo All Blacks.

Nice one JW. Hope the ABs don’t drop as much ball in Washington as they did tonight……
