Match-Ups: Who wins the match up war? 

Overall, New Zealand win the centre battle. Only just. We have the more disruptive halfbacks. I think New Zealand has the edge in the backrow; Thor over R ead though. The front rows are pretty even in general play. I prefer our locks, especially once RG steps on the field. The back three is very close. Barrett is more potent than Willie, the wings are all very opportunistic and lethal. I prefer our bench. It's a shame there is no Laumape. In my opinion he is the premier Kiwi 12.

Outside backs -  AB's much better

Centers           -   SA has the better pair - Goodhue is better than Am - but SBW is an over-the hill player - so De Allende better - Laumape is the better player - but missing.

Halfbacks       -   Even stevens

Loosies           -   With Ardie Savewa and Arika Ioane not playing SA better - Du Toit is the top loosie and will be the force to be reckoned with.  Vermeulen and Read both reputation players.

Locks              -   Pity about Mostert - he is the weak link in the Springbok team -  AB's despite Whitelock has the better cpmbination

Hookers          -   Marx by a distance. 

Props               -   Slight advantage to the Springboks.     

We'll see if Damian is better. Am is a very good centre. However, I foresee J-Raz gifting the tractor an obscene amount of wasted ball. Our wings will be kickers. 

Marx is the best hooker in the world. The way the All Black front row functions in general play is often better than the Bok midfield. This is very even overall. 

Mostert is statistically one of the best Boks. A better defender than Steph. Outplayed Steph in Wellington last year. 

Steph is the 17 ranked flank in super rugby. Nowhere near world class at 7. 

Our wings are excellent. Willie is very dangerous. Overall, it's very close.
