Why was I not overly impressed by both teams performances.   In between the long conversations between Mc Caw and the referee some rugby was played - but there were players that did not cover themselves in glory on both sides.   However, in respect of the Wallabies there was glaring g mistakes that cost them dearly.   Allow me to highlight some of them:-

*    Pocock was a regular penalty machine giving away easily convertable penalties regularly.   Mc Caw was not much better in that respect.   Is that not the problem Meyer identified with so-called fetchers?

*    Beale played atrociously badly.   Defence horrible and ball handling skills extremely poor,

*    Tight 5 on both sides were really not up to standard.

The All Blacks as predicted won - but if they want to continue winning they should up their game considerably..

Well summarised Mike, must say from  somene who wasn't at the game you are pretty damn spot on. Beale had a shocker, he's to be blamed for a piss poor attempted tackle  that let in the first try. Wallbies were poor in the first half and made the AB's look good. I hope the AB's continue to play like they did, by their own standards they were ordinary.

Clevermike, Pocuck had more conversations with the ref than Richie - you don't believe, watch the replays and time the amount of time Pocuck spends trying to grease the ref!

Hakwa

You are right about that one - the difference is that Pocock really looked baffled and stupid during the on-field debates - McCaw looked baffled and intimidating.   The whole seceanrio should NOT HAPPEN during a rugby game.
