to play Wales is bwhaaaahaaaaaaaaa.......and Meyer, you are a fucking idiot.

How the fuck can one get excited about supporting this shit?

South Africa: 15 Willie le Roux, 14 Cornal Hendricks, 13 JP Pietersen, 12 Jan Serfontein, 11 Bryan Habana, 10 Morné Steyn, 9 Fourie du Preez, 8 Duane Vermeulen, 7 Willem Alberts, 6 Francois Louw, 5 Victor Matfield, 4 Bakkies Botha, 3 Jannie du Plessis, 2 Bismarck du Plessis, 1 Gurthro Steenkamp.

JP in bold because he is not a 13

What an insult of a side - Meyer is a disgrace and selling Bok rugby down the river. To think that had Fourie and Jean been fit, they to would have been included in the starting 15.

Never thought I'd ever say this, but Wales, please give this insult of a side a hiding......I would be lying if I said this pathetic Bok side had my full support......this side does NOT represent the best of SA rugby.......clueless Meyer has got 70% of the selections wrong.

Fuck me this disgrace of a side really pisses me off......fuck you Meyer

JJ proved in his last test against the AB exactly what he has to offer at 13......something the likes of JP, de Jongh and co could only dream of doing

No...we are weak in the centres and in the front row. I'd like to see one younger lock splitting with either Victor or Bakkies. And on the bench I wouldn't have Schalk Brits. This is a weaker team than started against France. But mostly because of injuries. Bring back Jean, bring back Frans, perhaps introduce de Allende, bring back Etzebeth and Strauss ....all things HM would have done and the team would be stronger.

It wouldn't be stronger with Lewies, Marcel van der Merwe, Kitshoff, Kolisi, Jaque Engelbrecht, JJ, Rhule or any of the unproven, inexperienced players you want.

You just aren't very good at spotting real talent Dave....perhaps you should just sit back and enjoy the games. Nobody.....not one coach has ever succeeded with inexperienced teams at test level.

We are weak in the locks and the flyhalf - less so than in the center position.  Morne has gone even further backwards than he was last year.  The locks are glory boys producing near to zero in practice.  Jannie should have gone last year already.
It could be stronger at lock with De Jager and Lewies playing - the geriatrics are not needed.
Performance are not taken into account by Meyer - only reputation and therefor Meyer's  selections are taking the team backwards.

Sure that's why Bakkies was a consensus MOM....you watch matches through the lens of your own biases. We all make mistakes and admit players we panned actually had good games. You are the exception....you just dont have enough confidence in your own self worth to admit you are wrong occasionaly. Take this silly Bakkies behind the Beast thing.....most okes would say that they had puller clanger....you try to pretend it never happened. But you fool nobody.

Poor side all round. Moz i feel that you are missing the dynamics of a side and this side has none. Only Hendricks, Willie and Brian have the limited possibility of doing something explosive that will change the game.
If Serfontien sees the ball, skip pass or kick from Steyn, it will be the same old crash ball.
I do not say Wales will win but against this side, they will know they have a real chance and will be as expansive as they possibly can be. Last 20 mins is going to be very interesting.
10 players starting from the last WC, which was a dismal failure. That is surely not progress.

Well rugger I have to agree...we are way short on attacking potential at 10, 12 and 13 compared to Wales. But there are no good options, in another reality we would have Frans, Jean and de Allende in those slots with attacking potential. Instead we have Morne, poor Jan and JP.
My guess is Wales will already have targeted Serfontein. Roberts will be running at him and offloading. And their loosies will be looking for turnovers off his inevitable inside stepping.
It's hard to win tests if you are beaten at centre....so our pack will have to step up to win this one. If they do and we get some quick ball our back three are potent enough to swing the balance.
This is shaping up as a close test. But we should win.

Moz. The thought of Roberts running at the Jan/Morne channel, with Willie being the last man standing, makes me shudder. The question arises, as you say, looking to offload. That is where we are very weak and i feel that our loosies are not fast enough to cover the offload, in the set pieces, which is where Wales will look to wreck havoc. As we always do, aimlessly kick into touch (Bok law, if you are in your own half), Wales will call full lineouts and try and get fast ball. Welsh put-in scrums in our half, will be a defensive nightmare and If there is a high set piece count, we are in real trouble.
In the team dynamics, if they can cover this area, this is all the loosies will be doing by the end of the game and will be absolutely knackered only for Wales to spread it wide. Bizzy and maybe Flo will be the only Boks to contest the breakdown, (with JP trying but being carded) so i expect the Boks to get very few turnovers, if any. I think we have serious defensive frailties but as you say, who else is there to play ?
I love the style of Welsh rugby and they are definitely my second team. As we all know Gatland is a crafty bugger. I am in for a good armchair game, my two favorite teams going head to head. I just hope the Boks can edge this one.

The worst defender n that backline is Morne Steyn - that give me the shivers as well.  The worst defender at 12 in Super 15 this year was Francois Steyn - a Morne and Francois combination would have been too terrible to contemplate.  The present combination is weak - the one with Francois Steyn would have been disastrous.
This is worsened by Pietersen at 13.  He is likely to make one strong tackle and miss the enxt one - since he cannot use the touch lines to assist int ackling and he is not exactly  the speediest runner around.
The problem is how much balls the Welsh backline is going to get to play with and the answer is plenty.   Our tight 5 is the worst combination we have had for half a century.  They may just win the line outs - and Matfield will call for virtually no balls coming his way - as h did on Saturday - but as to breakdown ball recovery and especially scrums - they are going to be dead ducks.
Even when the balls get to the Springbok backline it will eb kicked away aimlessly by Du Preez and Morne Steyn and the outside backs only role will be to defend and to fall back to catch return kicks from the Welsh.   The Welsh will make sure that the recipients of any kicks - whether from hand or return kicks will be accurate and recipients under pressure  -  so they are in for a tough time.
I hate to say it - but Meyer has opted for the weakest possible team he could have selected - especially with his mania about Matfield, Bakkies Botha and Morne Steyn being in the team.

Meyer needs to be taught a lessen. Let's face it, it's long overdue.

He needs to be exposed as the fool he is.

I'm hoping it'll be this weekend.

Go Wales!!!!

Moz you are as backward as Meyer is.......fact is had Fourie and Jean been available bot would have played.

Meyer's side is one of the worst Bok selections I have ever seen.......so much so that I cant even bring myself to support them for they don't represent the strength of SA rugby........I never thought I'd ever reach the day that I wanted to see the opposition beat us for the sole reason that our useless ignorant coach be taught a lesson, or better still we have such a bad season that the stupid conservative man be given the boot.

I honestly thought that he might just be having a play around with his selection for the World 15, but to actually weaken the side with the introduction of Steenkamp has really taken the cake.

This Bok side is a disgrace, with 70% of that team not being worthy......I cant support that kind of shit

Now hang on a minute. The last time I checked it was (according to all the so-called experts), general knowledge that it was only Bryce Lawrence who stood between us and the title.........

 Dof Doos
That was 3 years ago - when the players were three years younger and even then managed to beat the Welsh by one point and was totally unconvincing against the Samoans as far as I could remember.   The fact that we lost against the Aussies was a certainty - with or without Bryce Lawrence. We lost and that was it.   What makes Meyer's elderly better than they used to be in 20010 and 2011?
Meyer is a dunce not to look at the future and harkening  back to the past. That has never worked in the past and will not work now.
His present doldrums is entirely the result of a regression in selections for the 2013 EOYT and ever since then.  He would claim it is the result of injuries - but he has gone backwards - even where injuries was not the reason.
A hard lesson may wake him up to the fact that this is 2014 and not  2004 to 2009.
