big balls on mackenzie to stick with most of the team, especially mogg who proved to be a big dud.
leaving folau on the wing is questionable, just mkae sure he dosent gett he ball and the rest will fall into the All blacs place.

Just thought I'd mention that I've had me a good look see at the foxsport fantasy version ... and am excited about it.

Should have played the super 15.

Awesome fun.

Hope to make inroads this weekend.

Cleancut It is a challenge to get things right - the problem remains the budget. I made four changes thus far in Foxsport and am waiting to hear whether Lobbe is playing for Argentina. Had to get rid of Moore or Strauss - to save money and decided that Moore has to go. Probably the wrong choice. Also had to let go of Cruden obviously and despite my constant distrust of Steyn - had to put him in. When Carter returns - the latter Is a goner. Another unfortunate casualty insofar as I am concerned is Jean de Villiers - cannot afford him anymore. I am looking at the OB's as well - only Ben Smith showed a lot last week - the others picked by me were pretty mediocre pointwise. The other problem I have is that six players per squad issue. That makes it virtually impossible. You have to pick and choose between who of for instance the Springbok team will be your choices. My six SA players at this stage is Strauss, Etzebeth, Louw, Steyn, Engelbrecht and Le Roux. You may wish to change one of those and the end result is you have to make at least 2 transfers as a result of the maximum clause. For instance if I want to bring in Habana - I have to drop an expensive player replace him with a less expensive one - drop Mogge and put in Habana - also have to let go of Louw and bring in Hoop0er. Messy and not easy to contend with. Very messy problem to say the least..

Mike ... from what I've seen so far, you can select no more than 6 guys from 3 teams with 5 from the 4th making up your match 23.

Then it's a matter of picking who you want benched, who in turn may even get a run ... scoring you points.

Personally hanging onto the likes of a Carter and a Lobbe who may only come in later doesn't quite work for me at this stage in time.  I need as many of my 23 on the park sometime or another.

I've now seen how important it is to select one's captain.

There's still much for me to learn ... however getting the best mix of players into my match 23 as early as possible is what I've worked on.

I banged on the calculator before I commited myself to anyone.

Think I've got my strategy sorted. Hope so!! Time will tell.

Be afraid ... be VERY AFFFFFFFRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!

Cleancut Remember to pick Tomas Lamasini as a lock - if he is in the Pumas starting line-up. H will be good value at a very low price. From a trade-in perspective and bearing in mind the 6 player issue - I am keeping Lobbe on the bench for the time being. Carter is nowehere at present - but likely to replace Steyn asap insofar as I am concerned. You know I buggered up the captaincy issue last week - by changing my mind about Ben Smith half an hour before the closing time. That shows how really important your captain selection is. I have not yet decided on a captain for this week - and think I must go back to Ben Smith.

Smith may have scored a hat trick last weekend, which no doubt aided his awesome fantasy score ... however ... how often does that happen? Back to back??? I doubt it.

Besides ... his work rate off the ball needs attention. I saw better performances than his over the weekend and if they had chalked up 3 trys they may even have surpassed him.

Based on that I've decided to gamble on another.

Steyn is known to be a bad traveller. He shines at home but overseas he seems to doubt himself. He's not part of my plans currently.

Gooooooooooooooooooooo Giaaaaaaaaaaaaannntsssssss!!!

@cleancut,
dont forget about the wildcard either bro, it lets u for one round only change ur entire team, good when ur in a pinch cos of non selections or injuries.

spot on about ben smith and his hattrick, but for what its worth, ben smith had a very high aggerate score throughout the wholespXV and that form is still continuing.
for me i dont think i can afford to leave him out so im bringing him in this week on my foxsport team at least.

Thanks Sas. I found the wildcard. Reckon I'll hang on to it till a little later.

Ben Smith is good enough to crack my team. I have him chalked up but not as captain.

He may have had a satisfactoty Super rugby average on testrugby but still didn't make the top 3 outside backs for the season.

Not sure how well he did in the foxport version. Is that what your referring to?

As I said before ... have MUCH to learn.

@cleancut,

yeah its good to save the wildcard, personally i dont think u need it, 6 transfers per week is more then pleny, wish test rugby had a wild card though.

and yeah i ben smiths stats in the foxsport is what i was reffering too, im struggling to put him in my teams though maybe over savea,,,,,,,, hmmmmm :o/

Yea - good luck top all of you. I had Smth and will definitely keep him - he is always looking for eotk and will be worth it. However, I made an unholy mess of my center selection and technically I now have thee fkyhalves playing st center - one real center and two flyhalfs. For that bit of idiocy I had to drop two top scoring players last week from my selections. Now if that is not idiocy - one wonders what is?. Gppd lucj amnd may the best teams win. By the way if we could only have had 7 players per team - it would make life so much easier

IMO the All Blacks outside backs are the best in the world at the moment, so ive decided to spread them amongst the two fanatsy teams, have ben smith and dagg in ,y fosxport team and savea in my testrugby team. that way if one of them has a blinder, i will cash in on some level, lolz, :oP

used htree transfers this week in testrugby, will stingy from here on out over the next two tests though.

good luck to everyone, i will post my full teams closer to the game, :o)
