I see shit written all over me - the New Zealand teams are slaughtering me on Foxsport - and if there are changes in the Sharks and Cheetahs teams I am going to be a dead duck this coming weekend.   Must now really start working on the teams again and see what can be salvaged.

Had to make two changes already - so as to have three backrow players, namely Cane for Todd and put Savea on the bench.   The other change I made, namely Kahui and Jordaan was a voluntary change - so my centr ombination is in order.

I will have to wait for the Brumbies and the two treams mentioned above to finalize the other two selections.

cheetahs & bulls have been updated, thanks boys, :o)

@canrugby,
horrel was one of the star findings in the cheifs last year, but injury plus well performing players has seen it very hard for the likes of him & robinson to crack the chiefs starting lineup,
given that its only the waratahs, im sure we will see the chiefs usual stars back in their normal positions when the thougher opponents come along, icluding anscombe to 15.

barret played 15 last week, pisi is better for the hurricanes, especially on defnece which has been an area of weakness for the canes the last 6 weeks. i would rate pisi the best tackler in the No10 jersey and coupled with andre taylor who has already used up his outstanding season pass last year, slotting barret at 15 here he had played for the ABs as well, is not that bad, :o)

 Sasu - you reckon Pisi had nothing to do with the Canes inability to score last weekend?

Also, I am assuming Cruden will take over goal-kicking from Anscombe which should help his value at least for this week ........

@oimatey,
in my opinon and my opinon only, no. i think the blues were just hungrier then the hurricanes in nearly every facet of the games, especially upfront and at the breakdown where the hurricanes got pwned.
pisi did fail to make any real impact on attack though & he also missed a couple of tackles, but it could be a case of bad first game??? maybe now thats under his belt hes good to go & the hurricanes will kill it now, fingers croseed, :o)

horrel is a pretty good goal kicker too, but it would be safe to assume that cruden will take up the kicking.

I think it's safe to say that once Aaron Cruden resumes the goalkicking duties that he ceded to Gareth Anscombe while he had a groin injury, he'll keep them. If Anscombe isn't required for his goal-kicking then Andrew Horrell and Tim Nanai-Williams both become better and more attacking options at fullback. Bit harsh on Anscombe who's been steady if unspectacular so far, but that's the reality.

There is a separte thread on the issue of the Sharks team that makes inerestubg reading,  Plumtree is as a result of injuries in a real problemin selecting side against the Cheetahs and a squad to go on tour with

I gained the impression that Steyn is unconcerned and therefor not co-operating with the recovery treatment programme to get back to physical requirements laid down by Plumtree.   I think they may be looking for support players for the Sharks and they may delay the selection process  to even Friday SA tiime - meaning that te team will only be announced after the fantasy selections closing time.   Hope Plumtree can sort out the mess asap,

@rooinek,
when the hurricanes released their team earlier in the week, i had motu matuu who i sold but did not replace as i was biding my time with team announcements.
now that motu is back in, if i were to put motu matuu back in the team, would i get that transfer back, or is it a non refundable policy???
i havent replaced matuu since i sold him, if that helps mys dwindliling transfer cause at all.

Sasuke, yes, you will get that transfer back.

The only thing you lose when you do a transfer reset is the profit (or loss) you made on the players you transferred.

For example, let's say you sold player A at 100k and bought player B at 120k, then you find out that player B isn't playing so you reset your transfers and get player A back. If player A's value has gone up by 10k between you seeling him and doing your transfer reset, you don't get that 10k profit. The values are reset to what they were when you first did the transfer.

The other thing to note with the transfer reset is that you reset all transfers that you made that week, you can't reset a transfer for a single player. If you've made 3 transfers and you only want to cancel one of them, you have to reset and then redo the two transfers you want to keep, losing any profits you would have made otherwise.

Hope that makes sense. I generally do any transfers early in the week (especially when selling players who are injured or have a bye the next week) and then hope that my replacement players get selected, meaning I make a nice profit. However, also remember that you can only do a reset once every week so once you've reset your transfers, don't try any more gambles because you'll be losing transfers.

Sasuke, reading your question again I see you weren't specifically referring to the transfer reset, you're saying you removed Matu'u but didn't replace him? I didn't know you could do that, I always sell and buy at the same time and I thought you had to always save a full team but my advice to you is the same, use the transfer reset, your team will be reset to what it was and you'll definitely get your transfer back.

Thanks Oimatey, that would explain why he was able to sell without replacing. I should have twigged he was referring to Testrugby.

Sasuke, you will lose that transfer. In the Testrugby comp, transfers are deducted at the moment you sell the player so even if you put the same player back, you will have used up a transfer. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Getting a little close, eh?

I had enough and picked my team. Not really anyone I wanted from them anyway. Highlanders also have a bye next weekend.

I had to use 8 transfers for this round in testrugby. A lot of players on the bench, and 3 teams with a bye hurt me. Good thing I had 21 transfers.
