What a fiasco.   Slipper has been benched for this game - and I wanted badly to buy him for my team.   Shows that I am a real bugger - when I buy or intend to buy a player - he goes into decline.

rebels, cheifs, reds & blues have been updated, thanks boys, :o)

makes sense to bench slipper, hes racked up some serious work hours this season and the reds are only playing the force, so they should win this one easy, despite the force beating them last time, i bet the crusaders wish they had a reamtach against the force, lolz..:oP
this could force a gew folks to use a transfer on thier props, if they dont have adequate cover on thier bencg, i think my cup opponent falls into that category, he needs to use two transfers on his props alone to have two starting props, hes got beast, slipper and kainga whose not even starting, so lets hope a few more selections screw him up this week, :o)

 Could all you "gew folks" please listen to saSUE - dont select players who wont actually be playing. saSUE you will probably need to explain that to ou rooitwit who lightbringers keep bringing up the rear.

Also remember to have cover on the "bencg".

It seems fantasy rugby is generating a language of its own?

saSUE the crusties would really not want to risk a second thumping by the Force. You need to snap out of fantasy mode  at times bru!

I think most of the players who play in the Cup competition has been buggered up badly.   For th first time I will hve 15 players on Board this week.   I am still hessitating abpout the prop situation - because Slipper is not in - but will likely go with Pek Cowan - that is if he makes the forces team.

Lucky for me Sam Cane is playing - so I could get rid of Ardie Savea.    I also changed Kahui for O'Connor.  My third change is unsure.

My opponent is in deeper shit than is believable.   He will have to make 2 changes in his Props if he wants to have two starting props.    Wonder what he is going to do?

Slipper is bad news for all the other three players in the Cup competition - and equally so for their opponents.

the bonus of slipper not being selected is that he will be in most peoples teams, so even if hes in ur team, theres a good chance hes in ur opponets team. the real question will b.e if ur bench is capable of replacing him without resorting to a transfer.

nice to see ezebeth back in the eqaution, i will sen kirwan a txt asking him to not go so hard on the poor boy, as this is first game back after returning from his frail body enduced half season holiday, :oP

Sasue

I should this week have 15 players starting in the Foxsport selection.   Still have to make 1 change - but for the rest I have a 15 man starting team.   Am not happy with three positions, namely -

*   Prop

*   Lock

*   Center

I will bring Slipper in next week and Etzebeth will be on my shortlist also.   The center issue is a lottery - since the centers - other than Brier are all yo-yo players.    Who do you think one should look at, because I have to replace Conrad Smith?

On the Test Rugby side I have three transfers left - namely a hooker, a loosie and a center.   The Hooker is easy - geb Robinson.   The loosie is a toss-up.between George Smith, Higginsbottom and some other players.

I have Ranger as the one center - but the other one is the same as the Foxsport team - a puzzle to solve bearing  in mind also the Byes next week. Any suggestions, please.

 BTW  - in week 17 the Force have a Sunday game. Very good chance that their lineup will not be announced before the fantasy lineup selection closes so we'll either have to take a gamble on certain Force players or choose a roster between the other three sides.

Oi-matey

To get a full team in Round 17 - I will have to make 9 transfers.   I have 6 at present from the four teams playing.  I can start with the programme of transfers in round 13 - but the Brumbies has a bye - so I can only start at Round 14.   Certain transfers are obvious - like Leafitano and Ashley Cooper, others are mddled.   andd will require serious consideration.   I hope we get 6 transfers for that Round and 6 transfers for th next round as well- otherwise I will be in hot water.

By the way I am bloody sure the perennial arsehhole will not announce the Brumbies team for Sunday before closing time of the fantasy games deadline on Friday - but will take a chance with Smith and Mogg in that case.

oimatey makes a very solid point about the forces sunday game in rnd 17, it wouldnt be far fetched to think the waraths would follow suit.

@mikey,

tough one on the centers there bro, i am seriously considering bundee aki, i get a feeling the chiefs are going to rip it up against the rebels and he has been one solid preformer for the chiefs in evenry game.
i also think francis saili will have a big game against the stormers. i dont share ur views on de jongs defence, but according to the blues hes put on 7 kgs since the start of the season making him a nice 106 kgs. i think i may have just talked myself into recruiting him this week.
the other option is maybe recruting someone with the june window in mind, in which rebels inman makes a logical choice considering his satnding at the moment.

I'm also going to be recruiting Francis Saili. He's actually been in my team before but I sold him after he got dropped in round 7 (I think). He'll be replacing Richard "Sicknote" Kahui in the Lightbringers line up.

I'm also bringing in Rene Ranger for Raymond Rhule and I'm still looking for a replacement for Ardie Savea. I've actually already bought Brad Shields to replace Savea Jr and I'll have to reset my transfers if he's not named tomorrow. Do you think Shields is a likely starter?

I still have to get rid of the injured Cobus Reinach next week and I also have to sell at least one of my Crusader locks as they have a bye in the next round, so I'm a bit tight for transfers at the moment.

I'm also going to be gradually dumping all my Wallabies and replacing them with non-Wallaby (and non-Reds) Aussies over the next few rounds. I will have to replace James O'Connor, Will Genia, Stephen Moore and two out of my three Aussie props.

@rooinek,

i do think that brad shields will be starting for the hurricanes, hes pretty much been the incumbent blinside all year, one of the few choices that cockhead hammet has made that i agree with.

tough one with ur double crusaders locks, but a chance to bring in luatua maybe??? i always avoid playing two players in the one team in the same position for those very reasons. its why im stuck with wimppie instead of jacques englebrecht who i would prefer to bring in.
am very close to using all three of my transfers on the loose forwards, o_O

just a tip for my brus here, but tj ioane is one player to lookout for when recruiting a loosie. im bringing him in this week for botha, but i would have brought in even in anyway as hes been on my watchlist and hes been huge since getting regular starting berths for the higlanders.

I already have Luatua and yes, I agree one should try to avoid two players from the same team in the same position.

In round 9 I had Bekker, Luatua and S Whitelock as my locks and I was quite happy with that combo, but then unfortunately for me the Stormers and the Blues both had a bye in week 10 so I had to sell someone. I sold Bekker and I replaced him with Romano thinking I'd sell Romano (or S Whitelock) the following week and put Bekker back but ever since then I've had so many injuries and/or non-selections that I've never had the chance to dump one of my Crusader locks.

TJ Ioane has looked impressive every time I've seen him and he's definitely very good value at 79k.

@rooinek,
with the reds facing the force this weekend, its not unreasonable to think the reds could open up the flood gates, so the likes of rob simmons and even horwill might be a nice pick, especially if trys start flowing for the reds.
du toit is also another good option, but he hasnt been impressing me at all lately.
theres always retallick, he was the 2012 spXV lock of the tourny and hes starting to hit that form again, ive got him under serious consideration.

Sasue

After careful consideration of the issue I went with Aki in my Test Rugby squuad.  I suggest you go with Saili - since if I went with him - I may put the mockers on him. You should know by now - if I make a choice the result is that the player I choose loses the plot completely..

On th Foxsport side - I have no more transfers left this week - and next week I have to think about the center issue again.   Slipper I have to bring in next week and then I have replace Reinach as well - probably with McKibben.

Talk that Tom Taylor will retain kicking duties which takes some luster from Carter. Dagg dropped for poor form per Blackadder

hurricanes and crusaders have been updated, :o)

julian saveas return to the hurricanes will give the canes a much needed boost and i have to say i do rate the hurricanes chances, but bulls in loftus is one of super rugbys greatest challenges for any team.

i like the proactive move from blackadder to bench dagg, its very true that daggs form has been poor, but i would have moved him to the wing for zack guilford whose form has also been below par.
daggs still an x-factor player and theyre going to need every weapon at their disposal to take on one of the form teams in the comp the brumbies.

@mikey,
if i have the transfers, i will consider the changes in my testrugby team, but at the moment i can only spare one so far and i would like to get rid of tikortuma from my outside backs, or maybe even wimppie whose underpreformed since joining my clan, :o/

The following teams are still outsatnding:-

   *    The Force

   *    The Brumbies

The Force is always late in announcing teams and I think that it is the same case here.

The Brumbies have been announced previously after closing time for fantasy sport selection and I think it will be the same again this week.   White will defninitely get the pisspot crown again this week.

From the announcements made thus far it seems that one or two major point earners for fantassy participants are not playing as starters this week and may present a problem.    I think that the scores of most people might be down from the high marks achieved last week.   I am indeed lucky - I think that I will have a full run-on team this week - unlike last week when I had 13 starters and 2 bench players.

The Force I added Pek Cowan to my team - and cannot see him not playing.    If Cowan is playing - Robinson will be on my Bench.    That means the only outstanding team is the Brumbies - where I have Smith and Mogg - cannot see them not playing.   If either is not starting I have no replacement for Smith available - and in the case of Mogg I have Savea.

I am eager for the teams to be announced - particularly the Force.  That would clear up most of my problem cases - with 3 players still under a cloud of uncertainty.  I expect  no  timeous team announcement by the Brumbies and will have to take a chance on the two players i have from that squad.

All-in-all for the first time in two weeks I am likely to have 15 starters in my team and am quite optimitic about my chances in the Cup competition.   Am worried still about Geb Robinson as my captain, but am unlikely to change that one.

.

minnies lions enduced exodus from spXV has him with a unique hunger that none of the shark players have at the moment.

Just over 14 hours to go and we still are waiting for three teams to be announced - two of which will play on Saturday and one on Sunday,   I am still opimistic that the Highlanders and Forces teas are going to be announced within the next twelve hours - but the Brumbies team will be announced after the closing dedline,   White  is gurnteed the pisspot crown again tomorrow confirming his arese hole status.

I have tried a number of website - inclusive of the websites of the teams concerned, and there is no indication of any team selection in evidence.

I hate the fantasy ganme when it comes to Jake White and his team announcements.  The areshole previously announced the Brumbies team after the closing time of the fantasy games and he is likely to repeat that again this time around.   I am still hoping that the Force announce theeir team before closing time say by 06:00 hours tomottow morning.    It can also happen that White may announce by 16:00 Australian time - which may give us a chance to see his team before closing time.

As it is I wil have tolive in hope that Cowan, Smith and Mogg starts for their respetive teams.   I am sure that Cowan and Smith will be inthe starting line-ups - but livve in hope that iit does happen.

I removed Gear and Ben Smith from my fantasy tams because of Nonu - he was refusing to pass balls to his outside players and they were starved in the process  Ellison will add value to the team and we may see  better attacking rugby being played by the Highlanders,
