all teams named for round 19 & wallabies vs lions teams
howdy folks, thanks to oimatey for keeping the htread alive while i was on holiday, awesome stuff, though whoever it was that supplied the hurricanes team may have posted up the wrong team??? all good though i could have been mistaken, but it did pinch me on the bottom a bit and not in a good way, LMAO, :oP
good to see the kings keeping up the trend as the most fantasy friendly team in the com naming their team early as per usual and it could quite possibly be the 2nd last time we see the kings till the next round of super rugby negotiations begin.
here is a link for the officials in round 19,,,
www.sarugby.com/forum.cfm
cant wait for the wallabies and lions final test, its gonna be a ripper if the first two was anything to go by, lets hope our SANZAR bros can come away with the victory.
some pretty good matches coming up, the blues and cheetahs are playing for a finals spot, blues are missing some key players though in their incumbent hlaves combo of weepu and noakes, and the harley davidson powered cheetahs at home are always hard to beat, so advantage cheetahs???
crusaders and chiefs continue their titani power struggle battles and the bulls take on a plumless sharks outfit with the bulls looking to finish ontop of the conference and the sharks still have a mathmatical chance of a finals appearance, but a very minute one.
good rugby all round and as always good luck to ur teams both of the fantasy and official variety, :o)
Lions team for third Test

*update*
crusaders and lions have been updated, :o)
crusaders have bought the A team for the match against the cchiefs, and something tells me that the crusaders at home are going to win this one, but i hope im wrong, i really want the chiefs to win and secure that No1 leader in the overall cofernece, the home advantage is massive come finals time.
the lions are looking the goods too, no odriscoll with gatland going for the all wales midfield and sean obriens in for the injured warburton, IMO obrien is the best NH No7 anyway.
i thought youngs was good for the lions last week, i wouldnt have swapped him for hibbard thats for sure and is heaslip injured??? not sure about that one either but i agree its still a very strong team.
*update*
chiefs have been updated, :o)
afeaki on the bench changes things a little for me, got a feeling that afeaki will come on very early though, sometime round the 40-45 min mark after big boy taumafuina has worn down the saders pack a bit.
might be time to bring in cane too bit of a selection headache at the moment, :o/
Stompies: 15. Joe Pietersen, 14. Gio Aplon, 13. Juan de Jongh, 12. Damian de Allende, 11. Bryan Habana, 10. Elton Jantjies, 9. Louis Schreuder, 8. Nizaam Carr, 7. Don Armand, 6. Deon Fourie (captain), 5. De Kock Steenkamp, 4. Eben Etzebeth, 3. Brok Harris, 2. Scarra Ntubeni, 1. Steven Kitshoff
Substitutes: 16. Martin Bezuidenhout, 17. Pat Cilliers, 18. Gerbrandt Grobler, 19. Rynhardt Elstadt, 20. Nic Groom, 21. Gary van Aswegen, 22. Gerhard van den Heever
*update*
bulls, stormers and wallabies have been updated, :o)
george smith is back for the final test and while i agree hes class, i dont know if i would have dropped gill from the 23 all together for him. i would have played smith at 6 move mowen to 8 and drop palu all together.
one thing that gatland has done right is hes dropped those who didint preform and showed little on tour like odriscoll, but hes also dropped the wrong folks like heaslip.
deans is fucking the wallabies up big time the lions were there for the taking and the wallabies played shit in reality. i hope they pull the series off but they must gte rid of deans once and for all the man is fucking useless. no i understand why maccaw told nzru to keep henry instead of the useless dingo.
@rooy,
am i right when i say that the transfers we have left in the testrugby spXV is all we have left for the rest of the tournamen including finals???
just want to know if i read the situation page right???
*update*
cheetahs have been updated, :o)
very exciting match coming up with the cheetahs vs blues, kirwan needs to play it smart and start ranger, i got the feeling that ranger heading off overseas played a big part in his bench start last week.
Sasuke, yes, the transfers you currently have are all the transfers you have until the end. Time to start taking a bit of a gamble and picking players who you expect to be there at the end. Problem is, you also have to have enough transfers to ship out players from the top 2 teams (who won't be playing on the weekend of 19/20 July) and then bring them back again.
Ou Maaik, just to point out that the Cheetahs team named for Saturday is still subject to late fitness tests on Hennie Daniller and Coenie Oosthuizen.
@rooy,
FAAAARK!!!!
i thought that might be the case so i started to make selections based on who will be there for the long haul and totally forgot about the top teams having a bye in the first week of finals, :o(
and what do u know, i just transfered a lot of chiefs into my team, goign to have to go super tight with the rest of my transfers.
@mikey,
nothing new with most NZ spXV franchises and OZ for that matter naming their teams on thursday, its quite the norm. highlanders will prob be last and western force easily take the least freindly fantasy team out there.
im very worried about madiba and that no sporting clause for 10 days should he pass away, in the foxsport circut i tried to not put more then one saffa or blues player on the one position.
like u i want to bring in ranger, i would have last week had he been starting,
*update*
hurricanes and blues have been updated, :o)
@mikey,
coonie, ben taumafuina and angus taavao is who i would use if ur not interested in the others u mentoned.
this week im using ben franks and coonie and bringing in james slipper onto the bench as i get ready for the next round which only has three transfers.
it pays to keep in mind though that coonie wont be playing the week aftrer.
The Sharks: 15 Riaan Viljoen, 14 Odwa Ndungane, 13 Louis Ludick, 12 Butch James, 11 Lwazi Mvovo, 10 Pat Lambie, 9 Charl McLeod, 8 Keegan Daniel (c), 7 Willem Alberts, 6 Marcell Coetzee, 5 Franco van der Merwe, 4 Edwin Hewitt, 3 Jannie du Plessis, 2 Bismarck du Plessis, 1 Tendai Mtawarira
Replacements: 16 Kyle Cooper, 17 Wiehahn Herbst, 18 Jandre Marais, 19 Jean Deysel, 20 Jacques Botes, 21 Cobus Reinach, 22 Jaco van Tonder
*update*
sharks have been updated, :o)
so now we just wait for the highlanders as was expected.
surprised to see reinach on the bench. teh sharks team dosent strike me as one who can beat the bulls, :o/
have any of u guys heard about coonie being cleared to play??? i might have to prop who will be playign on the bench just incase hes not playing instead of slipper who i originally wanted.
Mike,
You only have 4 trades left in Testrugby? If that's true you are in big trouble.
here's my test rugby team for this weekend.
A. Strauss
H. Elliot
Luatua
B. Retallick
Victor Vito
Lappies
Aaron Cruden
Dan Carter
Rene Ranger
Bundi
Julian Savea
Charles Piutau
Not fully happy with this team, but don't really need to making a lot of transfers right now. Need them all for the playoffs.
@canrugby,
mikey was talking about 4 trnasfers left in his foxsport fantasy team, at least i hope thats what he was talking about or Lord have mercy on his testrugby team, cos no one else will, LMAO o_O
BTW canrugby, u should join the foxsport fantasy team too, heaps of fun and ill be strating a comp for the 4nats/RC when it come round, :o)
like u im not happy with my team either, but will keep it as is cos i want to save my trnasfers for later on down the finals track.
team at the moment,,,
deon fourie
hika elliot
brodie retallick
luke romano
liam messam
sam cane
dan carter
aaron cruden
jan serfontein
bundee aki
charles piutau
ben smith
theres pretty much 9 changes im going to have to makeover the next 3 weeks, so i cotta be scrooge mcduck with my transfers, :o/
Hey Sasuke,
Sure. I'll give it a shot. You gotta link for me to make it easy?
Is there a group i need to join? Or password?
*update*
highlanders have been updated, :o)
good to see buxton potualii back for the highlanders. typical highlanders luck to start getting some of their star players at the wrong time, hopefully next year will be a different story/
@canrugby,
bro theres no comp at the moment cos foxsport havent set it up yet, but heres a link to the spXV one i started that has the sarugby.com bloggers playing in,,,
superrugbyfantasy.foxsports.com.au/
the code for the league which is named sarugby.com is 3671-4183
its too late for u to make any real impact, but it gives u a rough idea of how to roll which combined with ur testrugby,com experience ensure ur not thrown in the deep end.
just remember unlike testrugby.com, u are given a certain number of transfers per week, u have a limit on players u can have from one team, and u also have a bench who while they dont score for u, are automatically subbed in should a player in ur starting team not play for any reason, it also helps out when making ur transfer picks for the following week, :o)
