howdy all,

here is a one stop shop for everyone to look over the teams named in round 2.

while not all teams have been named, i will update the lists as the teams are named.

every time i make an update, i will post a comment with the teams that have been named.
note i wont be posting the actual team in the reply post, instead it will show u the team/s which have been updated as an indication for u to look at the original thread. this will also bump the thread ontop of the archives list.

i will make this an ongoing thing for the sake of convenience, but obviously with new threads for every round.

:o)

Sasue

Thank you very much.   You will see that I elsewhere made some result forecasts - but that I have avoided the New Zealand teams and did not make a forecast.  What do you think will the results be like?

Hey sasue. I have a question about testrugby.com

It may sound like a really dumb question, but I gotta ask it.

Do I get $12,000,000 every week to spend? I've looked everywhere for the answer to this...

@canrugby,
no, but u will still have 12,000,000 worth of players in ur team which u manage via transfers etc.

every week though the prices of some players will increase or decrease depedning on how they performed.

Anybody got a link to stats from last year? Would really help me. Last year was the first year I've ever watched Super Rugby, and I didn't watch any Aussie games except when the played SA teams.

You really are a gentleman and a sholar - once we have the full team sheets as to your item - I am going to print it out - to help me whilst watching the actual games.   I think that this is the format to have the teams posted in every round - and even Mozart cannot complain about it.

Wonder about the delay in announcement of the Brumbies, Waratahs and Force teams - though.   I do not have any Waratahs players in my selections - but definitely some Brumbies and Force players.   And then I have Retallick - must really be going dilly in my old age - but then there is no Etzebeth - a real lock - available.

Thanks again - now we are only waiting for the Force to come up.  Hope it happens sometime today though. I have only Godwin in the Testrugby starting line-up - so I am still worried.

I have another question.

Do you get 20 "trades" every week, or just 20 "trades" for the whole year? Because I traded a couple players to get under $12,000,000 and it used up 2.

Canrufby

You get 10 trades in respect of rounds 1 to 4 after which you get 20 trades each for similar number of rounds.

I had to waste most of my trades after round 1 - because of the fact that there were only four teams playing in round 1 and from now on 12 to 14 teams per round.  I will probably suffer by the time we get to Round 4.

Good luck to you.

Incidentally my Testrugby squad is as follows:

*    Adriaan Strauss

*    Stephen Moore

*    Andries Bekker

*    Brodie Retallick

*    Marcel Coetzee

*    Rynhard Elstadt

*    Patrick Lambie

*    Kyle Godwin

*    Paul Jordaan

*    Damian De Allende

*    James O'Connor

*    Jesse Mogg

Hope the above is of some help.   Please note that I think that it is better to select 2 hookers ahead of props - the hookers score points more easily.

I also similarly support 2 flyhalfs since the flyhalfs also gain points with kicks at goal.  It is also wise to take goalkicking into account if you select players.

That does help. Thanks Mike.

I really want to get rid of Kitschoff, but can't find a hooker to get under 12 million.

Nice squad - you will probably beat me hands down on that one.   Mafi is good very good - but I ran out of funds and had to pick a few cheap players - so I could not afford them.   Cruden and Barrett are also good choices.

I had Pocock in - but he gave away too many penalties last week and he worries me a lot.  You will have too change ghim next week - since the Brumbies will have a bye in Round 3 - so I took a gamble and left him out already.

Must admit I do not like De Kock Steenkamp and prefer Strauss to Burden.

Good luck with your selections.

I don't like Steenkamp either. I had money issues so I went with a somewhat safe bet. Stormers rely on their forwards, and their lineouts are usually top notch. If he makes his tackles he should get me points as well. As long as he doesn't do anything stupid I should be okay.

I thought the exact same thing with Pocock. I'm going on the go-big-or-go-home with him.

I actually can work A. Strauss in as my hooker but it would cost me two more trades. Only have 15 left. I'm contemplating it though.

Canrugby

After the Round 1 having only Aussie teams playing I am now sitting with a problem that I only have 9 transfers left.    You probably are correct in cutting costs on locks.   However. I am still going for Retallick  and Bekker - until Etzebeth gets back.

Insofasr as Coetzee is concerned - he was the highest point scoring loosie last year and it may be clever to replace Pocock with him.   If you have some funds left - rather do it this week - Pocock wil fall in value badly next week  - partly because of his performance in Round 1 and partly because of the upcoming bye - and you may end up with a substantial loss if you change him only then.   That is why I ran for cover this week insofar as Pocok is concerned.

However, Coetzee is bloody expensive.  By the way the prices are apparently based on performances last year.

every round theres always one team who wnats to take home the a-hole of the round and this week its the force, lolz, :o(

but thanks to mikeys selection of retallick, its hard to be sad or annoyed, especially if u have seen our many debates on the greatest lock in modern day rugby, LMAO, :oP

Retallick - I decided against my better judgement to give him a chance - and for that purpose had to leave out Hugh Pyle.    Hope he gives as many points s Pyle - and properly used his only chance I am going to give him properly.   LOL

He will obviouly be out when Etzebeth returns and I needed another over-priced bugger to cater for that

I said that I put Retallick in against my better judgement and should never have done it.   Next week he is OUT - cannot afford him as a poor pointscorer in fantasy rugby selectionns.   The best in the world - my ass. LOL

Fortunately enough I did not use him in my Foxsport selection - he was a big enough disaster in Test Ruby election though.
