Sasue

I am in real trouble with that Wykes story.   I think that I may have to use the wild card - unless I just don't pick a lock and hope I do not lose to many points as a result.   Say 14 like you got with Retallick last week.  LOL

Who is that guy Horrell the Chiefs picked for Friday?   He is listed on TestRugby as a flyhaf,  I think they want him to get gsmetime - and will bring on Nagatai later on - but that would be a gamble so i realize your problem.

I do not know why the Sharks team announcement has been delayed - there may be some surprising changes - but I do not think Jordaan will be involved.   If Reinach is not selected that will be the final straw and I will have to use the wildcard.   Would prefer not to do that.

Now some Aussie issues.   Is there something not functioning inteh Waratahs team?   Thei performances thus far has been putrid.     Do you think they can up their game against the Cheetahs?   I always have a problem with the Cheetahs - they can up their game and beat any game in the competition and the next week they can be horrible.   On present formm they must have a good chance to beat the Waratahs,  Wht do you think?

The other issue isthe Brumbies.  How strong are they really?   Nodbody knows - they beat the Waratahs with ease - but although they won easily - are they going to make the grade against the Sharks?

Sasuke: ". . . i was actually starting another thread and was going to ask rooy and mozter to continue fighting there so as not to clog up the original thread . . ."

I see, so you think I said something to provoke Moffie's pathetic little attack on that thread? You're saying I'm as much to blame as him?

Noted. I'll stay off your Fantasy threads in future in that case because you clearly haven't realized that my mere presence on any thread provokes these childish little tantrums from Moffie. If you or ou Maaik disagree, then please read that thread again and point out the comment of mine that started any of that crap.

 Very surprised neither Cane nor Retallick are starting. Rate Marshall as hooker too - he was stellar in the first two games, even when he came on as a sub in the second.

Serious depth to that team

@rooinek,

LMAO, come on bro, theres nothing in my post which even remotely comes close to me saying i blame u, i only said that i was going to to try to get the two of u to continue fighting somewhere else, so as not to clog up the thread, as the threads from the other rounds have recived a lot of replys, albeit mainly cos the passion mikey and i share for as the mozter would accurately put it, boring everyone with our fantasy rugby chats.

i am well aware that mozter provoked the exchange between the two of u on the original thread and the irony was not lost on me either that despite it being a "fantasy" related thread, mozter still clicked on it despite telling us all the lack of intrest he has on these topics, but the only intention i had was to try and curb ur MMW (mixed martial word) with mozter else where, :o)

i know mozter has said that he will stay away if u do, but i dont think anyone really believes that, as u have noted many times in the past, mozter makes many cameo appearances on these threads, wether ur here or not.
so i hope u do continue to be a presnece on these threads, as u and mikey have been the biggest contributors (much appreciated i might add) and the networking were doing is ensuring that teams are regularly updated for all our fantasy convenience sake, :o)

Well Sasu I wouldn't worry too much about RooiAAS'  feigned indignation. This Fantasy bit is very important to him. He has forsworn your threads, but will be back.

And in that case I will have to occasionaly impose on you fellows. Why? Because RooiAAS was a non signatory in the general board truce that emerged after rugby started. So if he is going to stir on other threads, why should I give him sanctuary on fantasy threads?

I know it's not what you want to hear, but all the AAS has to do is stop trying to be a gadfly all the time, and I'll stop responding. But dinna worry about his absence....these episodes where he throws his toys out the cot are never sustained.

Sasuke and ou Maaik, the real point I'm making is that if you see childish, ignorant and attention-seeking behaviour on a thread, have the guts to point out who the childish, ignorant attention-seeker is who's disrupting or hijacking the thread . . . don't cop out and call it two people "fighting". Frankly that's insulting.

I have re-read the thread and I believe I exercised remarkable restraint.

Now, if Moffie is such a sad and pathetic billy-no-mates that he has to yap away for attention on a thread he claims to have no interest in, then tell him to bugger off. Don't lump me in with him . . . and also remember, a "fight" implies there's some kind of contest.

I think your statement on Daniel is correct - but I do not think he will be int he starting line-up this week already.  He is likely to be on the bench and being brought off the bench later in the game.

I have a suspicion that Du Toit is going to start at 7 and later in the game be switched to lock - thus allowing for Kankowski to move to seven and Daniel at 8.

I also think there may be a change of Steyn at 12.   He was dismal in the Kings game and his replacement halfway through the second half could have been to give Bosman game time.   I think that Plumtree had problems with Steyn at 12 from the start of the compeitition - the Sherks backline really did not function properly - and according to his statement after thse Stormers game  - they were "working" on it.  It was even worse in the Kings game so the "working" was not effective.   The mere fact that Plumtree had Steyn benched - despite the fact that he was captain - leads me to believe that Steyn's selection is in the melting pot.   I think chances are that we will see Bosman at 12.

Ou Maaik, you may be right on both counts. Your suggestion of Pieter-Steph as a flanker makes sense and I won't complain if Frans Steyn is dropped. I've never rated him as a centre and he's been crap so far this season. He should be at fullback but I'm not sure he deserves selection there ahead of Ludick.

The Sharks team is out and is as follows:-

Sharks: 15 Louis Ludik, 14 Odwa Ndungane, 13 Paul Jordaan, 12 Francois Steyn, 11 JP Pietersen, 10 Patrick Lambie, 9 Charl McLeod, 8 Ryan Kankowski, 7 Keegan Daniel (c), 6 Marcell Coetzee, 5 Franco van der Merwe, 4 Anton Bresler, 3 Jannie du Plessis, 2 Craig Burden, 1 Tendai Mtawarira.
Replacements: 16 Kyle Cooper, 17 Wiehahn Herbst, 18 Pieter-Steph du Toit, 19 Jacques Botes, 20 Cobus Reinach, 21 Meyer Bosman, 22 Lwazi Mvovo.

Despite my forecast Steyn is still in the team - but his captaincy has been taken away and I wonder how long he will be on the field of play - I give him 20 minutes at the utmost if he misfires again.

Sasue I finally decided to clean up the mess I made in my selections and was about to take the field with only 10 players- the remaining players not being in the starting line or completely out of contention because of the byes and injuries I was consequently forced to use my wild card already and will have to live with it in future.. It was mainly through inexpereience that I buggered up selections so badly thus far and am making absolutely certain I would not be caught out again. I made bloody sure I do not have more than one player of the same franchise in any given position and put those players I see as certainties on the bench for this week - thus limiting my future changes.

Thanks for that advice.   Sorry - I believe I had to change now - the mess was complete and utterly impossible to handle.  I will bare week 17/18 in mind and may only have about 10 Aussie players to count that week - but in the meantime I had to get the ball rolling to ensure that I do score resonably well until then.

@rooinek,

for me personally, its not about having the guts to tell somebody off, cos i have done that many times in the past before as has mikey, its just that nothing ever amounts from it, so i really do just ignore it and continue blogging on my merry way.
time is also a factor, i barely have enough time to blog my valuable 2 cents of rugby to the world, add to that the fanatsy rugby chat and i might suggest something i do to bloggers on varioud forums that i want nothing to do with, zero tolerance. do not read anything they have to say, u wont beleive how much better the quality of ur blogging time will increase.

i personally dont mind mozter, i found a lot of his rugby related topics to be insightful just like urs and everyone here, well except beeno1 aka storming ed, but theres always an exception to the rule, LMAO, :oP
so im sure a middle ground of sorts can be found here, cos despite our various opinons on the what, where when, why and hows of rugby, theres one thing that unites us all and thats our love for the greatest game of all.
but enough of this, if im going to spend valuable blogging time boring u, i choose rugby and fantsy talk as my boring weapons of choice, :oP

@mikey,

if u are going to use ur wildcard this week, then heres a real helpful tip, u might as well pack ur bench with aussie players who are not in wallabies contention, but will make the starting team.

wallaby stars are being pulled out of spXV 3 weeks before the june test series, and ur not going to have the wildcard to fall back on when the all aussie teams play in rnd 17.

 Clevermike - don't do it bro. Even if you play with one man short this week - you can make a lot of changes in the next two weeks as there are only one team on bye each week but three transfers.

You will need that wildcard come rnd 17 - especially with the unknowns regarding which Aussie players are going to be with the Wallabies.

Don't commit fantasy hara-kiri !

Its on the Foxsports Fantasy site

 You get one to use for any round this year. Once you have made all your transfers for a specific round the "Play Wildcard" button at the top of your roster screen is enabled and if you select it, it allows you to make an unlimited number of transfers for that specific round (within your budget).

 I don't want to. Trying to get rid of him, but limited by budget and don't really want to use another trade. Sorely disappointed in his performance against the Kings.  Really wanted to put one of the Chiefs centers in there, but the two that are starting are categorized as flyhalf and outside back. Thinking about going with Ebersohn

Fair enough Sasuke. For the record I think Moffie is a gigantic arsehole with very superficial rugby knowledge who adds very little to any rugby debate due to his having never played even 1 minute of rugby in his life.

I'm afraid that any participation on my part on these Fantasy Rugby threads means that you'll get Moffie's squeaking little anti-Rooinek tirades as well . . . because the sad and incredibly childish old codger is  utterly obsessed with trying to discredit me and can't help taking pathetic little pops at me even if it's on threads he claims to find incredibly boring.

I actually feel a bit sorry for the pitiful loser sometimes but that doesn't mean I don't still think he's a complete arsehole and a deeply unpleasant human being.

Yes Jordaan has all the attributes but he's not producing. Leiua should score reasonably well in a backline that liks to run the ball . . . and a centre playing on the wing is usually a good FR buy.

Edit: Just after posting I noticed that Brodie Retallick is not playing so I've subbed him and now I can afford Anthony Faingaa rather than Leiua. Reds should score well agaisnt the Force and Faingaa makes a lot of tackles.

The feeling is mutual RooiAAS.....but thanks for providing a perfect example of why I can't give you sanctuary on these strings. Your silly hissy fit was never going to be real.....what a fake!

Waaaaaaahahahahaha!

"Sanctuary"? Pffffffffft . . . from an egg-faced old relic who makes a dick of himself on every thread without any help from me? Yeah, right! Nice one, Moffie.

By the way, this is another thread that is clearly titled as a Fantasy Rugby thread. Why do you even click on these threads, Moffie . . . do you like being bored? Wehe! What a pathetic loser you are!

 I was considering Leiua, but with the Hurricanes having a bye next week I would have to switch out that position again. Really like the next three games lining up for the Cheetahs as far as running rugby and scoring opportunity goes. Cheetahs have Force and Rebels after Waratahs

You have plenty of trades so Leiua is definitely an option.
