Sasue

I got the following team of the Hurricanes from a local website:

Hurricanes: 15 Andre Taylor, 14 Alapati Leiua, 13 Conrad Smith (c), 12 Tim Bateman, 11 Julian Savea, 10 Beauden Barrett, 9 TJ Perenara, 8 Victor Vito, 7 Karl Lowe, 6 Brad Shields, 5 Jason Eaton, 4 Jeremy Thrush, 3 Jeffery Toomaga-Allen, 2 Dane Coles, 1 Ben Franks.

Bench : 16 Motu Matu'u/Ash Dixon, 17 Ben May, 18 James Broadhurst, 19 Faifili Levave, 20 Chris Smylie, 21 James Marshall, 22 Reynold Lee-Lo.

On paper it looks like a good side - but it will surprise me completely if they beat the Crusaders    For blood pressure relief on your side I hope they do.   LOL

I made a mistake by posting the Crusaders team elsewhere and am going to repeat that message hereunder:-

Here is the team as announced:-

Crusaders: 15 Israel Dagg, 14 Tom Marshall, 13 Robbie Fruean, 12 Ryan Crotty, 11 Johnny McNicholl, 10 Dan Carter, 9 Andy Ellis, 8 Kieran Read (c), 7 Matt Todd, 6 George Whitelock, 5 Dominic Bird, 4 Sam Whitelock, 3 Owen Franks, 2 Corey Flynn, 1 Wyatt Crockett.
Replacements: 16 Ben Funnell, 17 Joe Moody, 18 Tom Donnelly, 19 Luke Whitelock, 20 Willi Heinz, 21 Tom Taylor, 22 Adam Whitelock.

Dagg is back at full back.I alwayss thought his real value to the All Blacks as full back was when he joined attacking backline moves or when he initiated backline moves by running into space from the back. At wing he was all at sea on Saturday and I am not surprised by the change.

Come now Sasue - I am pickiig teams up early - better update your thread because I use it later on. LOL

sorry about the delay mikey, not much time lately to do my usual blogging duties, but the uchiha clan will strive to be more up to date, :o)

dagg is effective as a winger, but after taylor was found serverly wanting, im not surprised to see him back there. IMO thouigh, marshall is just as apt at fullback.
looks like blackadder is feeling the pinch, worst crusaders coach ever. crusaders will be in good nick the sooner they get rid of him.

look out for jhonny mcnicholl, he played a very high level of rugby in the ITM, a classic winger with tons of speed to burn. will be interesting to see if his form can make thetransfer to spXV level.

Coetzee has just made the biggest foul up ever in the history of team selection for the game on Saturday and the Stormers now have NO CHANCE at all in causing an upset.   He remains a bloody fool - to say the least.

The team is as follows:-

Stormers: 15 Joe Pietersen, 14 Gio Aplon, 13 Jean de Villiers (c), 12 Damian de Allende, 11 Bryan Habana, 10 Elton Jantjies, 9 Nic Groom, 8 Duane Vermeulen, 7 Rynhardt Elstadt, 6 Siya Kolisi, 5 Andries Bekker, 4 De Kock Steenkamp, 3 Frans Malherbe, 2 Deon Fourie, 1 Steven Kitshoff.

@mikey,

i wanted to to recruit ben smith this weekend, but i remmebered that jaco taute is not playing, so i should pick taute, cos hes bound to score more points doing nothing like he did in his first game, LMAO, :oP

but seriously, do u know if we get an extra 20 transfers this week???
if so is it added onto our remianing transfers, or do we only get 20 end of story???

Sasue

The 20 extra transfers are credited on Friday morning - so they cannot be used in Round 4 and can onlybeutilized as from Round 5.  That is as I understand it. I was going for Taute all out - but he is not playing.

What the hell is wrong with the Blues, the Highlanders, the Chiefs, the Brumbies  and the Reds in delaying their team announcements?   I am waiting for them before finalizing my squad selections.

You are going to get a walloping by me on both squads thie weekend.   I am keeping my selections secret this time.   I am going to let you into one secret though - I am going to drop the last Bulls player I had on the Testrugby side - replacement a secret.   The Bulls are going to get a hell of a rugby lesson from the Blues - of that I am very certain.   I am likely to drop Bekker as well - replacement a secret.  The Stormers are doomed and I cannot see how anybody from that team is going to show.

I am only keeping De Allende - because he is cheap at the price and in accordance with the Testrugby system will show some positives.

@mikey,

re transfers,
thanks for that, i will have to use my remianign three transfers wisely, which shouldnt be too bad.

to be fair on the teams except the force who have been right royal pricks in 2013, team announcments are normally announced on thursday.
i have been surprised to see so many teams annoucne their selection so soon in the week TBH.

i always knew i would come right in the foxsport league, as foxsport always rewards high attacking players.
so with that in mind and my general opinon of all the clubs, i pick a high number of kiwis in my backline, the only position i would consider picking a saffa in is flyhlaf.
i also try to keep my aussie selections as minimal as possible, ideally only bieber would remain in my team.
my forward pack will normally be a mix of both saffas and kiwis and only out of form players and the all aussie rnd 1 darby has stopped that from happening so far.

still trying to figure out testrugby.com, but i might pick taute cos hes not playing, so its only logical to assume he will get lots of points for doing nothing like he did in his first game, LMAO, :oP

I am slowly moving to a stage where I would gt rid of the SA backline players.  The only one I thought would make the grade reallywas Jordaan - but Francois Steyn had a brain implosion and refuses to pass the ball to any players outside of him.

This week I will keep the Sharks players on the squad - because they will have a real upper hand in the game against the Kings.   If Steyn has another brain inplosion - I am going to struggle with points again.

Insofar as the only Stormer player - De Allende = is concerned I am keeping him as the cheapest player I can field and hopefilly I can get a few scrap points out of him - making up the deficit by haing other better players in the squad.   I call it balancing the books = so to speak.

How many changes are we being allowed on Foxsport next week?

@mikey,

next week were allowed four transfers and this week as u know were allowed 3.

i still have jordaan in my team and TBH, im seriously consdiering picking him for the kings showdown. he will prob remain in my team permanently due to his ability to keep my books very balanced though, LMAO.
bieber will always be there as far as im concerend, rebels are smart and u can almost gurantee that he will always get the lions share of the ball.

i stayed away from allende untill i saw what he could actually do and im glad i did, cos i havent seen him do anything, not his fault though, stormers have made it their mission to skill every ounce of attacking rugby in tehir players.

but heres my fanatsy team at the moment,

FR ben afeaki, charlie faumuina, (r) ben alexander
HK deon fourie, (r) bandise maku
LK brodie retallick, hugh pyle, (r) toby lynn
LF marcel cotzee, liam messam, sam cane, (r) scott fuglistaller
HB brendan micibbin, (r) richard kingi
FH daniel carter (r) demitri caterkillis
IB james bieber, fracis saili, (r) paul jordaan
OB andre taylor, chalres piutau, tim nani williams (r) ben smith

the transfers im looking at making are,,,
hugh pyle for steve luatau
andre taylor for frank halai
daniel carter for lima sopoaga.

the first two are guranteed to happen, but carter on the other hand is still not a certainty.

@oimatey,

i thought i would name my team early as i felt a little bad for mikey who gave us his team early last week including bringing in ben smith, lolz lolz lolz, :oP

i just wish i had more transfers to change my testrugby.com team, so that i can put in players who dont attack. my team at the moment is,,,
james parsons
corey flynn
franco van der mewe
luke romano
brad sheilds
sam cane
tom taylor
daniel carter
fracis saili
robbie fruean
tim nani williams
charles piutau

i got three transfers left, so i will use one for tom taylor for sure as hes starting on the bench.

but need to use my last two transfers wisely,,,,,,,,
luke roman and brad shields are the other two prime candidates for round 4 elimantion, lolz..

I am going to be fair and give you my Testrugby selection since my friend Sasue was so honest ababout his one:-

James Parsons

Geb Robinson

Sam Whitelock

Hennie Bekker

Marcell Coetzee

Lappies Labuschagne   *

Pat Lambie

Dan Carter

Paul Jordaan

Damian de Allende         *

James O'Connor

Charles Piutau

  *  I have two really cheap picks and hope they will deliver some points.   De Allende was not too bad last week with 200 points and Lappies was good for his 355 points.

I have only one transfer remaining and am waiting for the team announcements  for the Blues and the Chiefs before finally making up my mind about that one.   If all the Blues and Chiefs players start it is likely that Bekker may go fishing.   Have not made up my mind yet though.

By now we have all the teams as above - but for the two lousiest teams in the Competition - The Chiefs and the Blues.  LOL

Any idea when we can expect anything from those two teams?   I cannot really finalize my team selections without those two teams.

Just a bit of late news - Got rid of Carter and put in Volavola.  You'll hate me for that one.

Any news on the Blues and Chiefs teams yet.   The lousy buggers are keeping me out of finalizing my squads.

Sasue

I have two players from the Blues in the test rugby squad and two each from the Cjiefs and the Blues in my Fox-sport selections.  I have only one transfer left in Test Rugby - but can still make three changes in the Foxsport one by cancelling my changes made thus far.

I want to make a surprise change in the Test Rugby case - but keep that one secret at present.   That is if the two Blue players I have is in the starting line-up

Hope the buggers come up with their teams soonest.

Sasue

You had me grinning here.  The bloody Blues are as bad as the Force in delaying team announcment.  I have two Blue players in each of my fantasy team programme selections - namely   Parsons and Piutau.  If I know they will be playig I want to make a surprise change in my Test Rugby selections - where I still have one Transfer remaining.

I am constantly checking the Blues website and the Zanzar Website - and the result is zero thus far.   With less than 12 hours to go before the start of the first match in Round 4 I am really not too happyabout the situation.

By the way I see the Waratahs have moved Folau to wing - do you think he will be more effective in that position?

 @mikey and canrugby,

i read an article where kirwan said he would announcehis team on friday, due to the game being played on sunday.
how ever most agree that it would be shocking if it wasnt roughly the same team who thrashed the crusaders.

Thanks Sasuke.

I'm trying to find another hooker then Parsons because The Blues will have the Bye next weekend. Problem is, is he's the best at that cost, and that's all the money I have. Might just have to go for it.

We get 20 additional trades after this round, right?

Canrugby

You have money problem?  Who are your fllyhalfs?   I have a suggestion  -since we have 20 trandsfers as from todsy 9in fact only usable after Round 4 - leeave Pasons be this time around - you can change him next week.

From a money perspective and with due regard to next week - why don;t you use Anscombe and Volavola as your flyhalfs for this week?   Volavola is very cheap and would be an excellent pointscorer for this week.   Don't tell the rest about the latter one, please.
