The Lions had this one won at the half, but bumbled their way into a losing position. Then the Rebels gave it back. Kudos to Jantjies for slotting the last kick.....pouring whipped cream on an otherwise stale performance by the flyhalf. Run over, charged, bottling out with a forward pass, chipping away great attacking ball....the minature 10 did it all. What more could we ask for of a young 10 a commentator asked? Competence would be nice....guts would be even better.

Ackerman did have the sense to pull some of his flagging forwards including the captain. That took guts but probably won the game....he would be my MOM. There was nobody else on either side.

These are two absolutely terrible teams. The loss of either side would be no loss to the Super competition.

Jantjies was 100 times better than the pathetic Bok incumbent at 10

I like the way the gap aligns with your bald spot....it's almost artistic.

Saffex

Because he is better than Steyn means nothing.   There are at least seven other  flyhalfs better than him - with jantjies on the bottom of that list.   To be quite frank - Jantjies is not a flyhalf's backside - or perhaps he is and so is Morne Steyn.

On the life of my two wonderful sons, I can assure you I dont have a bald spot. I have a full crop I can assure you - given we have met in person, you know that and anything you say to the contrary regarding my full crop is a complete lie

Mike please stop speaking complete and utter rubbish. The only better flyhalves are possibly Goosen and Lambie - any other names would be insulting

Saffex

Elsewhere you mentioned the good performances of Grant - how come he is not good enough to beat Jantjies all over - he has proven that time and again this year, while Jantjies have done squat to enhance his case

I rate Grant ahead of Morne - that was my point. Jantjies is in a different class, kid has a great feel and touch

Im with Saf here.

Jantjies is a shining star in a cloudy sky!

Imagine how well he would perform with a winning pack and a supportive 9 and 12!

He gives his backling more ball than Grant and Morne to put together!

Ok, so Gerrard bounced him twice today, but overall his defense is sound and his kicking is OUTSTANDING!

So ja, him, Goose and Lambo are the men we need to invest in.

By the way Moz... why do you always find it important to diss Saf?

We blast him when he gets nasty with us... so maybe tone it down as well!

Flash, you will find that Moz has to take a contrary view to anything I say. I said Steph du Toit was one to watch and now Moz is telling us he was out of his depth........the list is endless. If I say a player is green, he will tell us he is blue!!
