Am it is
Is he fit?
Although Moodie has been making some good progress at 13.
AM has had no game time since his last injury. Also, his form was not at its usual high standard this year - given he had just recovered from a different injury, before his most recent injury.
Posted mine before I saw yours.
We now have a world class outside centre (assuming Am is match fit and recovers his form ) but we're still stuck with a part time hooker on our bench.
Am played a lot of games in the championship. If he is as good as Pollard, then it will be a simple swap with Jessica.
I rate Moodie very highly and he can probably nail down that 13 jumper, but he is our tallest out side back and we need him on the wing for now.
Even a half crocked Am is better than Jessica.
Although, Am and Mpimpi have a fantastic relationship. The tend gel really well
Esterhuizen has years of experience combining with AM at the Sharks, so perhaps they should be the starters.
I still don't feel Rassie is close to working out his best backline (assuming Boks gets to the quarters).
And the return of Pollard, and now AM is further complicating things.
AM should start, but what is his form like? I thought he played poorly this year, at least compared to his past years.
Pollard can kick, but his attacking play has declined. Libbok was easily the better player at getting his backline running.
If Libbock pole kicking was good, Pollard would not even be in the match-day squad.
Unlike Pollard AM has had no game time stepping into a WC quarter final against a top 3 WC team. I'm going to suggest he'll be struggling. He'll be super human if he didn't.
