Amla and Faf's rearguard action fails

The Proteas were up against it in the Old Trafford test....but for a while Amla and Faf bravely held the fort. Once they went the long tail starting wiith the sadly out of form de Kock folded like a pack of cards. This is a very unbalanced team, and needs a major revamp....but do we have the players. Right now our only test class players are Amla, Faf, AB, Quinton, Morkel and Rabada.

I would add Maharaj and Philander as test players to your list.Kuhn is way out of his depth. Elgar is gutsy but he technique is really poor. Bavuma too is gutsy but lacks the necessary class.So we need two openers a batsmen a class all rounder.  Too many pllyers simply not test class. Not sure what has happening re Dale Steyn but he is getting on..

Talent, dedication, motivation and the will to win are the four basic requirements to winning. None of which appear to be present in this squad.
Without AB in the squad, this batting line up is average at best.Steyn and Philander are getting on in years and replacements must be found soon.
Amla is still scoring when it does not count and is over the hill. When last did he contributed to a win.
Bavuma is not a player who should be in this league.
So the selectors will have to find at least three players of color to replace the above-mentioned players and as can be seen from their current selections it should not be difficult as talent is not required.
A shocking display of cricket by the Quotas and an embarrassment to all SA cricket supporters.  

 AJ how in the world did Kuhn at 33 years old get selected. The cupboard must be bare regarding openers

HaBeen I excluded Philander because he seems unble to stay healthy, increasingly like Dale's situation.
