Well given Whitehead was being missed by JJ Engelbrecht he had an ideal chance to shine. Unfortunately he also proved he is as slow as treacle......I guess they missed that.

As for Wailing Murray, he looked good, only slightly slower than Sterling....I'm almost 45.....Mortlock. So am I to assume Wailing has once again claimed your affections and JJ is being jilted?

No, cant say I agree with their calls, JJ was by far the best of our 13's. I dont see Whitehead as a 13 at all, he has the skill set for 12. Murray was good and I have always rated him, but he is done - those injuries have taken their toll.

My Bok 13 prospects are Taute, JJ, Jordaan, Howard and Serfontein. I'd also be more than happy with JP at 13

Taute is your pick.....well all I can say is  it's convenient that he's injured. None of your prior picks have lasted more than a few games. Do you still remember your utter conviction that Sadi was our next 13?

Moz no need to resort to lying, come on. I have not had Sadie as my Bok 13 ever, Taute has been my choice since Fourie's departure. I was also keen to see JP there and have been a big fan off JJ since his move to 13.

I rate Sadie and have recognised like most that his year has been an average one, where injury and lack of game time have played their part. Utter conviction that he was our next 13 is complete bullshit.

He remains a good prospect and at 23, has time on his side, but has slipped considerably in the pecking order

Saffex

Any no 13 playing outside of Steyn and Olivier has to be defensively sound since they will get virtually no opportunities to attack and prove their worth in that aspect of the game.     The same applies to piss-poor Jantjies.

That is why I sympathise with Sadie, Engelbreacht and Taute - they really get near to zero opportunities to show their attacking value.

Murray played well - despite Jantjies - against a very poor Rebel outfit - he is slower than any other center playing at 13 in Super 15 for the SA franchises - Whitehead also coming very near to snail pace. Any objective assessors  would never consider any of the two as real 13's and I do not like subjectivity to play a role in player performance assessments..
