This time its the Poms...

Sam Burgess is the guy that SMASHED SBW in his first return match last year.

He is a big unit hard runner and word is the Pom Rugby team want him playing @ 13...

All in all hes very similar athlete to SBW maybe a bit thicker build though...

I'd expect him to excel as he definitely has the attributes and has been a top performer in the NRL for the last 3-5yrs.

Well done poms....

Now if only the wallabies can get a certain Greg Inglis to play rugby.... (he'd make even  folau look 2nd rate...)

Ah yes Burgess...is'nt he the one that likes squeezing yr balls Red...

....what a character and no wonder Red loves this dirty little shit...something to do with Redsman's warped sense of fair play that he's  always harping on about i think...

But Burgess was totally outplayed by the Kiwis in the recent WC and will just be more of the same when he gets to rugby except it will be the ABs leaving him in their wake....

...had the pommies in tears at the end of the game the poor chaps..too funny...

Rugby league obviously too tough a sport for him and he needs to get out...

Was that the same WC when the kiwis (with SBW) lost 40odd NIL to the Aussies in the final?? at least the poms put up some competition... LOL.... u tool.

Burgess is a good athlete and as a rugby fan I'd prefer to see him play Rugby than league...

I think he's be the same size shape as Bismarck maybe a bit taller - either way it will be good to watch his progress...

Redsman from memory it was a Burgess that cost the poms the game by going high at the end...obviously there is a lot of brawn and not much brain there...but , the Kiwis have been World Champions at rugby, rugby league and Sevens for at least the last four years....it gets a bit boring if we always win everything don't ya think??

So what we lost one game at the World Cup out of sympathy for our poor drunken Aussie cousins that never win anything cause they're always pissed out of their minds.

From memory it was our players that were awarded the top International Player of the Year and Dally M awards , The NRL would be nothing without the 30% of Kiwis in there propping it up.

Same with yr rugby team always Kiwis propping it up so a bit of gratitude is in order don't you think?

sam burgess in union???

pretty awesome news IMO, but as i love both league and union (married to union and leagues my mistress, lolz) , it would be better if sam had of stayed in league, as league is barely a step up from aussie rules when it comes to international exposure.

RFU are going to have to fork out some big bucks for sams services, as hes signed with the bunnies til 2017 (anyone confirm this???).
also the earliest that burgess will be availabe for the english is IMO the 2015 6nats, meaniung hes going to have sweet F all games to really prepare.
ive got no doubt hes going to be huge, just dont know when.

could he be a bench player for the english rugby league team, the way SBW was for the All Blacks in 2011???

anyways, england is going to have one of the best backlines in the world when if this fast tracking of burgess goes according to the english plans,,,

england backline,,,
9 b young, 10 o farrel, 11 manusamoa tuilagi, 12 b twelevetrees, 13 sam burgess, 14 j may, 15 m brown

- some real beefed up power in that backline.
- very solid halves pairing.
- plenty of speed.

assuming that burgess reaches his potential, i would say this is the closest thing ive seen to a backline which could match the best backline in the world, the mighty unequaled All Blacks backline.
