we have been doing well at junior level over the last few years. Currently we have the SA Conference trophy (of far greater value than the Currie Cup) in our cabinet and now we have added the Vodacom Cup on beating Griguas in a close game.

I dont think the queens even made the semis did they?

No the Kings didn't make the semi's but they only lost 2 games in the Group stages.

It was great of the vodacom cup side to snatch this one at the end, Griquas played the better rugby, but this is a final and we really stole it at the end. Seems the structures in WP are starting to come together now. Teams are starting to win games that are close, creating a winning culture, hope for this to continue.

Misleading headline....you'd swear they had won trophies that matter! And I know what your argument is going to be, but the next most coveted trophy from a provincial point of view after the Super Rugby trophy, is the Currie Cup. You can argue future, and potential and talent identification etc, but Western Province is just not winning the trphies that matter.

@ Blue - The headline might be misleading however, no one can deny what the actual point is, WP structures are getting into place really well from Junior level in the past two years now Vodacom Cup. Hopefully this filters through to the most Senior Sides. Success breeds success as you Bulls supporters know. so yes just giving credit where it is due. Plus John Dobson is an excellent coach.

No argument there Ek, success does breed success, but finding talent has never been a problem for them, their problem is keeping it!
