I want to refer you to where the requirements of what to expect from an 8. Look no further than the Scottish first try. A number 8 role lhat Wiese is fulfilling can be done at equal pace by props. The most important part of the role of a prop is to link in with the backline and thus promote attacking play - Wiese;s pace is insuffient in that respect, I would rather have Roos and Hanekom in that role.

The Wiese situation was much more flammable…him and the Italian was aggressively grabbing at each other.

There was a whole group around them, hyping the situation.

Then most importantly Wiese’s head contact with Italian, was much more harder and intentional…
