....the Qualude is a match winner?
Anybody still think....
Mind you the crude will also disappear once he understands man mountains Alberts, Vermuelen and Louw are coming for him. Not to mention Bissie of course.
As strange as this may sound...
His unpredicted style of play, has made him far too predictable.
Does that make any sense at all?
See, players just stand off him now and let him perform his old tricks, and go in for the kill once he has run out of ideas.
As for Genia...
He is a great player.
He is just out of form at the moment and is playing behind a KAK pack.
Beeno
I do not think any flyhalf is really afraid of a tackle by the SA loosies - they are far to slow to get to the flyhalf - leave alone anybody wider out. Unless a player himself runs straight at them - they are not going to tackle him. LOL
stop showing off how stupid u r.
There is nothing wrong with the pace of Flouw.
The other fetcher in the Bok setup is our hooker (bissie or strauss)
Vemulen and Bone Collector are not fetchers or anything of the sort.
They are direct players, link players...
Players that put opponents on the back foot.
Its all about combinations.
When Heyneke was coach at the Bulls, they also didnt have a speedy opensider.
I remember times when Pedrie W and Danie Rossouw played together on the sides of the scrums....
Its just about selcting the right combos for your gameplan....
Jake White did similar things in his selections.
He didn' t listen to the public. He just picked players that fitted his plan.
Good coaches do that.
Its really getting embarrassing for Mike now I feel. Boks have crushed Aussies 2 from 2 and more comfortably than NZL did. In fact, Aussies should have played 160 mins against the Boks this year for 15 points and no tries. Their try at Newlands was hardly great effort and more SA "sleeping" as they were setting up for a line-out. Quick line-out should not have been an option after the ball was touched by the touch judge.
We made NZL grind 4 tries out in the biggest farce of the championship against just 14 men that included Alberts leaving the field.
All this and Meyers win/loss record to date and Mike is still carrying on about our "poor" loose trio. The same trio that has got the rugby world talking about the Boks as hard men and applauding the efforts and threat of our loosies but Mike will tell you they are a non entity.
Mike will just keep predicting big Bok losses and one day it will happen and Mike will say, "I told you so!" without seeing that Meyer is W/L 500/2...Laughable!
I see he wrote about the loosies making only 2.2m gain per run..This tells me he has not played this game. What does he want?? The loosies to break the line and pass the ball between them while they go coast to coast 5 times a game? Their job is to retain ball, keep the Boks moving forward and tire the defenders out whilst drawing defenders in so we create space for the backs. Boks have scored plenty more tries this year and worn more opposition down and been dominant so I think they are doing their job Mike. Take a step back from your infatuation with how bad they are and step into the real world buddy!
Agree with you 200%
Good coaches have a plan and stick to it... until proven wrong.
And so far, as much as we criticised Heyneke last year for being too predictable, he has stuck to his guns... and now we are starting to see some results.
Change of subject slightly...
But am I the only one here that thinks the Lions looseies are magic!
Hell man, Kriel, Minnie, Tecklenburg, Willie and Whitely are playing supreme rugby this year.
I reckon that anyone of those 5 could make the step up.
Perhaps Whitely is a bit light... but thats about it.
They have grunt, speed, skill and all make thumping tackles.
Kriel looks faster than most of our backs!
Careful Chippo ... Ugga Ugga the gorilla from Meyerton want's to do the nasty with you.
Chances of you picking up a bad dose of ugly-anytis is very good. It's irreversible ya know ... once you have it ... your done for.
Cooper is useless ... his flash was short lived.
Deans liked O'Connor at 10. He saw something in the lad and persisted with him there.
The whole of Oz cried out for Cooper ... so now they have him ... AND ... ?????
Maybe Porkie Pig should acknowledge he made a mistake and beg Deans to come in as an specialist assistant / head coach advisor.
Go Pumas!!!!!!!!!
Saffex
Bluntly put and 100% correct
I agree with you. I'd prob also rather have Morne over Cooper... purely because he brings a certain degree of calm, and he has a dead eye dick boot for those big moments.
Look, Cooper is very talented and can wreck havoc at any time of day.
But at the moment, he just does not have the attacking support around him to take advantage of the space he creates.
The Wallaby centers are the poorest center combo that they have had since as far back as I can remember.
Adam Ashley-Pooper brings a lot to the table, very seldom (if that makes sense)...
The only half decent and in form back they have at the moment is their fullback. But he too has massive faults issues he needs to resolve on the field.
I feel sorry for Australia. They just dont have a decent pool of decent players to choose from.
They should build some rugby fields in those massive prison cells.
