Originally I heard he was out for the year, and then he may even be back before the now ended SuperXV.

Then it was in time for the 4 nations.

Hopefully he overcomes his injury as it sound severe.

Sharkbok Heard nothing about him recently. The Sharks announced an extended squad for the CC and his name is not in that squad as well. Hope that he recovers completely - but cannot see him going on the EOYT without some playing time beforehand. If he is not playing in the CC - he will have no game time before the EOYT and he will have to get match fit as well. Steyn does have a major weight problem - and that can delay his return even more - since he will have to get to a reasonable weight before he can be selected. However, we will never know what is to happen in this case. Remember we are dealing here with Meyer - whose selections have at times being really crazy and inexplicable. .

He needs to get off the creatine and other high protein nutrients, and get onto the treadmile as soon as his injury is better

oi-matey Thanks for reminding me - I missed out on that one. Not sure whether he is close though and the same goes for Jordaan. It seems as if Whitehead is injury prone as well. I like what I saw of Andre Esterhuizen - the Sharks Under 21 no 12. He really is a top class 12 in the mode of Serfontein and De Allende - and I hope they rather play him this weekend despite him being only 19 years of age.
