has been hard done by being left out of the squad? He would have made mine, I'd have him ahead of Jantjies at flyhalf and Galant at fullback.

He was statistically our best ball carrier in super rugby. When breaking down the numbers by position, he was more influential at 15 than 10. He is a better player than Willemse at both 10 and 15, so I think it was harsh to omit him. He also has a better boot than Gelant, as we saw on Saturday. Gelant is all running. A little Kirchner-like in that way, though not as effective bringing other players into play. Bosch is a good all round 15 and the closest thing we have to the play making 15 that Willie is. His omission could be a big gaff if we have to look to anyone other than Willie.

I do maintain that Jantjies is the better specialist 10 though.

I would have preferred Bosch ahead of Jantjies in the squad and he may yet make the squad since Steyn is not a proper cover at flyhalf  and Jantjies is a potential disaster under pressure. .

Bosch ahead of Gelant for me.

Agree Draad. Both are iffy on defense, but Bosch brings a good boot and far more dangerous running.

Gelant looked pretty ordinary and not much of a threat when he joined the line.

I'd be OK with Bosch as he also covers 10.

He is a complete liability in defence. Great attacking player

Bosch would be a good squad player, or bench player that could cover flyhalf, wing and fullback. He has pace, a good step and can also pass. His defence is terrible, but it slowly seems to improving, although it will probably always be his Achilles heal

Neither Pollard nor Jantjies are Wilkinson like in their channel defence. A quick  openside would not go amiss if he played 10.

Nothing wrong with Pollards defence - you can’t have a test 10 needing a flank carrying out his defensive duties. Bosch is awful defensively and for that reason can’t be considered for test rugby

I'm not saying Pollard can't defend his channel but he has missed some pretty basic tackles.

Quade Cooper couldn't tackle for toffee and he was good enough for test rugby.

What do you make of George Ford being in the England squad and possibly keeping Cipriani out?

Elton Jantjies is not a good tackler either.
Bosch would be a handy player off the bench. Type of player who can make game-changing stuff happen. Bosch is a better runner than Jantjies.

I agree with Dave that he is a defensive liability.....but he is a game changing point scorer with his boot and his Cullen like incursions from the back. So why not put him on the bench and bring him on only if we need to score points. Wings and fullbacks really don't need to be subbed Hell Gelant is a mental liability......I'd rather have a defensive liability who can kick 60 meter goals.

I'm not sure how anyone can trump Quade Cooper who we all know to be yellow-eyed when it comes to tackling and yet diss Bosch for almost the same thing
