Aplon and Raainacht to be in the squad?

I haven't seen Aplon for a long time. Neither have I seen Reinach since the Puma test. Players seldom change, so I hope for Rassie's sake he is of the few exceptions. To thrive in Rassie's team one needs good fundamentals. I can't imagine he'd start ahead of Van Zyl. I could be wrong, but that seems the logical choice. That's assuming Rassie actually brings Reinach in at all. 

Aplon is a complete mystery. How fast is he? He was deceptively strong back in his day. 

Kirchner was excellent in 2013. Willie played a few tests at 15 but was moved to wing because of his errors. He only settled on the 2013 EOYT.

Aplon was good, but statically he was outplayed in 2010 by Kichner. He never really nailed anything down.

We'll see what Reinach has. He is more a runner, like Hougaard could be. However, his skills and decision making were atrocious. He was a mess in all of his prior tests. 

Funny guy - Kirchner was never excellent for anything and as in the Meyer set-up because he played for the Bulls.   You know in Meyer's own words - he "selected the players (he) was acquainted with."

It was Kirchner that was moved by the NH club he played for because of "his errors".   After Meyer brought Le Roux came on Board Meyer selected him for a few tests and dropped him like a hot potato and never selected him until the RWC squad was named and then selected him to play in the Japan disaster at full back.  As was the rest of the Meyer favourites he flopped badly in that test.

Reinach always had a problem - he was good enough - but incapable of playing the Meyer game.   Reinach was dropped because  Du Preez was a specialist in that and Meyer thought Pienaar could be (another flop in the Japan disaster) and Paige - another Bulls bench player who rarely started for his franchise. Meyer always adore bench players  - especially if they had  Bulls connections.

Problem is that when I use stats they are degraded by you and Mozart as not reliable and reflecting what actually happened in games, but when you do they suddenly become the real s ource of what actually happened.  

But then you use selective stats and not the full picture.   Full backs tend to catch balls not followed up properly and gain substantial distances in ball carries.   I do not rate the distance covered as real indications of the value of full backs - I rather want to see what happened with the outcomes of the carries.   

That means in real terms that it is necessary to indicate he number of carries per game - try assists, etc,   Also it is necessary to see defensive stats as well,   I never use selective stats at all, even you try it every time.  So try again - the above effort is defective.   LOL   

Kirchner was very often inserted into the line on attack. That's where his metres largely come form. He regularly beat defenders and gave us go forward ball. He was a very physical runner with good distribution. Hence why he had such high assist numbers. The fact of the matter is that he was a far better player than accredited by the plastics. It can be proven with any kind of evidence. As said earlier, his boot was his weakness; It was Jekyll or Hyde. 

Why did you not quote the try assist numbers as well.   I have never seen Kirchner had a good all round game, But publishing his full stats - some discussion would be possible.

By the way your plastic fans story is getting wearisome - what is a    "plastic fan"?  Is it anybody who watches games and see what really happened and then countered your fairy tales on site ?    

You have, but you won't admit it. Kirchner was 9ne of those players plastics looked for on a team sheet when looking for an excuse. When game film is pulled out, it becomes an entirely different matter.

A plastic fan is a shallow turncoat who will berate our best players and champion the chaff. They were the fans who revelled in our World Cup triumph, yet turned on Jake. Booed Habana, Monty, Pollard etc. Turned a blind eye to the outlandish failures by the likes of Damian, Lambie, Kriel etc. They listen to our rather dim-witted sports writers, parroting what they hear ad nauseum. They are hyper emotional and personal when they don't hear what suits them. They will revel in a Bok defeat to prove a point. If a defeat didn't happen, they'll fabricate an account to discredit success. In 2013, the plastics were unhappy with our free scoring game because Morné was the key trigger man. So many "fans" stated these were tainted wins and tries. They hated that he played well. A plastic fan will become very irrational and aggressive when footage is shown to them as irrefutable proof of their assertions being wrong. Instead, they'll become even more emotionally tied to the lie. Hardening themselves to the truth.

Where's the Kirchner mania? I will defend a player who is being misrepresented each and every time I see it. If you want mania, look no further than your proclamation that Steph was the best Bok of all time after the home Wallaby win. You know, the game Esterhuizen lost while we won.

I was shocked about your comment that at 36 years it is too late for Aplon?   I could not believe that statement coming from you.  

I don't speak about Kirchner very often. Where have a I ever brought him into conversation? I bet you cannot find one example. 

He is a hardened contrarian. If he sees you say something, he'll immediately be angered and think of a way to refute it. He has actually disagreed with himself when trying to attack me a couple of times. He doesn't think far enough.

I met him in the lift of the hotel in Newcastle on Tyne, the Boks were staying there pending their pool game against Scotland........had a bit of a chat, thing that struck me was how small and how little there was of him.

Kirshner was very good in 2009. The Bok and Bulls game plan of the ere fitted him to a T.

Aplon and De Jongh together was the biggest defensive sieve I have ever seen in Super Rugby.  They were bad then - how much worse would Aplon be now?
