An open question as to whether the divisiveness among the SA posters is indicative of the divisiveness that seems to be the norm these days in SA rugby ?Is it the cause or symptom ? And its not always the case but for the most part the Kiwi posters seem to be in agreement on things like team management ,selections etc .But having said that is it just a reflection of our teams success ? Would we be as divided if our team were having a bad run ?Ana.lyse and discuss ,beeno -plum in 20,000 words or less thanks ! harhar ...And remember nothing succeeds like success !

There never really was uniformity in approach by the SA fans for years.   After initially supporting the appointment of Coetzee - I do not think he has a single supporter left on the site.

"I doubt there's another nation as divided as SA."

This from the chicken runner who doesn't even live here and probably hasn't set foot in the country for years.

LMAO!

The divisions on this board are mainly between resident South Africans and the loud-mouthed and opinionated chicken runners who love to make out that the situation in South Africa a lot worse than it actually is to justify their running away when they stopped getting the benefits they used to get under the apartheid government.

The situation is so much different.

Arguing over the composition of the NZ squad is pointless: the NZ squad is what they are supposed to be. This settles any potential arguing. No point in arguing over a side that wins.

SA is a very different case: they are supposed to be contenders to NZ. And they are far from being that. Very far.

Excellent men do not like responsibility when it is associated with accountability. SA is slowly but surely crushed by the burden of the past as it turns out difficult to reverse what should not have been done in the first place.

Debating leads to one conclusion: it is time to end rugby in SA. An outcome that must be avoided at all costs.
The diviseness is a mask as people agree with doing everything to avoid ending rugby.

As so often in such situations, excellent men prefer to do a lot of noise to cover what must not be told. The comedy of the quotas made to hide the deficiencies in SA rugby, the bickerings among supporters, all are united efforts by excellent men to prevent the necessary outcome from occurring.

Excellent men in SA are strongly united in SA to do everything possible to avoid the end of rugby.

What's with the hate?  People have a right to live where ever the fvck they want.  Just because some ass4ole cannot afford too does not mean it ain't cool.  Not that I have seen any real patriotic support posted by the hater(s).
As for division, it would be a very dire place if all and sundry always agreed to everything and everyone was always in agreement with everyone else.  Imagine that!  Some of the ass4ole haters would have nothing to complain about and nothing to spew their hateful vitriol at.  But then again I suppose ass4oles will be ass4oles now and for ever.  Sies jou vark!

 Wardad
Ever since I can remember there has been some sort of divide.Take colour out of the equation and you are left with English vs. Afrikaans speakers which divides kids into different schools. English Families end up diving in mainly English areas and visa versa.    or Provincialisim which is one of the roots of the problem in SA rugby. Back in the day it was WP vs. N-TVL and the Bok side was weighted one way or another, (not for the greater good of the National side).
Having a winning Springbok in SA only papers over the cracks.

JW, I might have considered Wardad's spat with Baboon-ou to be in that league but you and Baboon-ou enjoy a much more good-natured banter than any of the rivalries I listed.
Still, my comment was a reply to Wardad's question about the divisions between the SA posters on this board so I never considered any SA vs NZ spats.

Very nice of you to to say so Cloudy but I'm no angel. Eddy Jones is one person who can get me ranting, he can bring out the devil in anyone. When he was coaching the Wobblies he was always criticizing Richie, he knows how to needle people & is now in his element as coach of the Poms. He has been prodding the ABs & we will hear a lot more from him I am sure. Fortunately Hansen has his number.
Rooi, my take on the spats on this board is some posters like to have a go at each other. It seems to be just as enjoyable to them as rugby - sometimes more enjoyable. Most of the people on your list fall into that category IMO, all part of the chemistry

Hopefully JW the ABs will turn the lions into little more than a moth eaten trophy for the floor ,this could have a deleterious affect on the wee pommies whose heads have been embiggened to ginormous sizes to match Eddy the Lip .Beandork wears his utter stupidity like a cloak of armour designed to ward off any attack of logic and comes with its own dampening field to prevent any outbreaks of either lucidity ,wit or sagacity .Coming in close contact for too long can induce brain damage ,coma and catatonia.Merely speaking its name ala' Voldemort can rain down demons of dementia and madness upon one .I am sure he imagines his ancestors catching and riding T-Rexes [Rexi ?] so as to catch lumbering herds of Diplodocus .Which is where his ancestor Beano the Bold got the idea for the Bok front row from.Weird this recognises ginormous as an actual word .I blame beeno.

Hi Wardad, the Lions tour might be more competitive this time around. I guess we say that about most tours though
Beeno is good for banter but I find it's best if you don't read more than the first few words of his posts - it minimizes brain damage and other dangerous side effects. He was right on Trum@p's win so the crazies are running the asylum. He also predicted the boks demise - but had it completely wrong on wee Matfield of course. How could any thinking person not realize that he has another few seasons on those string-bean legs?
I think the spats & divisiveness among our SA friends would exist even if the Boks were winning. Although they would be distracted momentarily by their own crowing & chest-beating The sooner the Boks get their act together the better as far as I'm concerned.

The tour will ne as competitive as NZ decides it to be.

It is very hard to understand the enthusiasm brought by teams like the Lions, that are, even if composed with good players, assembled like charity game teams.

The stake in this tour will be to build up the hype for the next showdown between NZ and England.

This is the main stake: increase the appeal of this incoming event.

the loud-mouthed and opinionated chicken runners who love to make out that the situation in South Africa a lot worse than it actually is to justify their running away when they stopped getting the benefits they used to get under the apartheid government.

The priviledges awarded by the apartheid government were not sustainable.

Excellent men have SA on the path of depletion of resources and permanent poverty.
Some say that gold is money, by that standard, as excellent men kept ramping the rate of exporting gold, the empoverishment of SA was set.

Of course as it is compelled in those situations: the first days in the destruction frenzy are filled with enthusiasm. Everyday, you destroy more than you had the previous day. And the next day, you will destroy even more.

Until the point when you hit the limit, then the clock is ticking, everyday, you are compelled to destroy less than the previous day, and the next day, you destroy even less.

When you take a look at the curves, the change in government happened when SA hit that limit, when the ascending slope got over and the descending slope was set on.

The priviledges awarded by the apartheid regime were not sustainable.

People who stay in SA are set as fall guys. They are here to manage the downfall that takes its root in the excellent men's ways.

Everyone should leave SA sooner than later, excellent men's ways are ruining the environment. A ruined environment does not sustain life.

@Traditionalist What is the main driving force of all life? Now some will say that it is to follow a certain religion and thus go to whatever desirable afterlife it sets out for you once you're done here. Others will that you are here on some spiritual journey and will be reincarnated into a cow if you behave. Ultimately a long list of possible answers are seemingly available to this question. Unfortunately the only answer that is based in fact is the following one. All living creatures, including humans, exist for the sole purpose of passing genetic material from one generation to the next. Life's goal is thus to become perpetually more complex. But to do so it must first survive. Let me list some things that could possibly wipe out humanity. Viruses, asteroids, supervolcanoes, humanity itself, global warming, gamma ray bursts, the shifting of earth's polarities and black holes. And here is why I see people like you as yapping dog at the heels of humanity. Yes we are screwing up the environment and yes humanity has since the beginning of time showed more similarity to a parasite or virus than we have to animals who live in symbiosis with the environment. This is who and what we are. So we have two options. Either we fight to survive or we commit mass mass suicide. Obviously we'll opt for survival. I know that you are thinking "Ah but black people in Africa didn't damage the environment before whites taught them how to." Fine yes, let's assume that blacks in Africa, tribes in Brazil and any other rural substance living society is/was living within a sustainable symbiotic system with the habitat. Perfect. But do you see the bigger picture here? These tribes who are so good for the planet, they fail to take the next step in human evolution. And that step is going to be overcoming whatever global catastrophe comes our way. And make no mistake about it, there are enormous threats that will inevitably come our way. Science and technology might not yet be able to save us from all of the above dangers but it has at least helped us to identify them and giving sufficient time, many of those challenges are surmountable. And what is the price? Well the price is consumption of resources, commerce and the destruction of the environment. There is unfortunately no middle ground. Cleaner and renewable fuels will go a long way towards slowing down the pressure that we put on the environment but whether by our hand or by some natural event, earth's environment is doomed. Given sufficient time there will not be a single living organism left on this planet. Even if there is no major catastrophe our sun will eventually destroy the earth. I'm not going to explain why, just trust me that it will. So now, what does that mean for humanity? Well it means that even in the absence of any kind of catastrophic event, the nature of our star/sun has put a deadline on the lifespan of the human race unless we become advanced enough to leave this planet. In other words, unless we are able to leave this planet, humanity is doomed. Not only humanity but every living thing on earth. Now tell me, these tribes people, living in such healthy relationships with their doomed environment, do they stand any chance of saving themselves, let alone the human race from an extinction level event? No, no they don't. Where is their grand contribution to humanity? How are they helping us secure the species? If the point of living creatures is to pass genetic material through the generations, then unfortunately for you, these destroyers of the environment are doing a better job of securing the future of the human race than you realize. It will be up to the scientists and engineers who "consume" to save humanity from whatever peril lay in wait down the road. Advancement is NOT possible without consumption of resources. And here's is why I see you as yapping dog. All you do is look back and blame the past. All you deliver is criticism and just as the yapping dog has no idea what the human is doing or where he is going, you are clueless as to the wager that humanity has been forced to undertake. It is better to risk going outside to place traps rather than waiting indoors where the wolves will eventually get you. On behalf of the future generations of humans I would sincerely like to extend and great big "up yours" to you.

What a coincidence that the cartoon image I posted before your post shows a yapping dog getting spanked by the "chicken" that TheTraditionalist referred to.

That was no personal reference. It was a quotation from a previous post.

Excellent men make an intensive use of name calling in order to hide their vacuity.
Other people do not need that.

This said, the term was introduced by others to be quoted later.

Yet that is not the introduction of the term and even a call for people to be labelled like that (quotation:Does Traditionalist qualify as a chicken runner since he has vacated this reality and exists now solely in hyperspace?)

That is a quotation.

So good.

 The text is excellent.

Excellent men come with tales that demand a submissive mind to be accepted.

A bit of perspective:

Excellent men consider a sign of superiority to destroy faster, bigger and larger.
The trend was set 300 years ago and figures shows it has still 200~250 years in it as after that, the destruction of the environment on great scales will be carried out.
In SA, the depletion of resources will hit sooner.

Those are 600 years.

Modern man: 6000~10 000 years

Mankind as a species: millions of years

According to the text, the ruining of the environment is justified as a preparation to a  event of extinction level that is doomed to strike the human species.

The event has not striken in the previous millions of years, not even in the previous 10 000 years. Yet it will strike.

To achieve the preparation, the destruction of the environment on a global scale is mandatory.

This is the charade.

Believing it demands to believe that the less means, the better, that the more ruined an environment is, the more life can be sustained.

People forget the location they live in.

SA is on the path of depletion of resources. As a result, there is less and less means to achieve things in SA.
SA, while starting with a large pool of non whites, is unable to train one single to be selected in their team.
So much that, in order to emulate the trick used by other nations (representativity) to strengthen the practise of rugby, SA must issue a quota policy.
Of course the failure to train is a consequence of the incoming depletion of resources that is depriving SA from means to achieve.

In this context, it must be believed that people who are not even able to train one single rugby player are going to save the whole humanity.

The extinction level event must not be looked elsewhere but in the ruin of the environment on a global scale brought by excellent men.
This is going to be the big stress test as people are going to be deprived more and more of means in the future.
As to hazards that might come, resources that are being burned out are going to be sorrowly missed.

Instead of speaking of a tale to save humanity, that cant be believed, it is better to tell that the little experiment driven by excellent men will result in the destruction of billions of lives.

Actually, a few cared enough to make up stuff like this tale about preparing humanity to face an extinction level event.

Which is already too much care that would be better used to find ways to train at least one decent non white SA player so that disgraceful excuse of quotas can go and make sure professional rugby is not practised when kids are dying of malnutrition.

That should be first priorities instead of planning for a fancied extinction level event.

By the way, excellent men have no legitimacy to use terms like "we" to speak of humanity. Excellent men have no ground to speak on the behalf on humanity. Especially as the closest thing to an extinction level event humanity will have to face in a near future will be the depletion of resources brought by excellent men's ways.

Kids starving is usually caused by having no parents- otherwise, it would be a whole family starving including parents.
If the family did have food- is it such a crime for them to have some enjoyment like watching a sports match. They are certainly not causing other people to starve.

Typically it is countries with the faster-growing populations that experience starvation as the economy struggles to increase its GDP more than the growing population.
Imbalances are caused by capitalism- but other systems like socialism and communism have been tried across the world- and still have imbalances and consolidation of power and resources.
The GDP is higher in countries that use capitalism. More production than consumption = more wealth.

People not even aware of the conditions in their own country.

Instead of fancying big plans, fancying on how to make globalization great again, fancying over players playing in foreign leagues, maybe time to keep the heads down.

SA is the only big rugby nation that upkeeps professional rugby teams while having this issue of kids dying from malnutrition.
Have to wonder how many of the low tiers nations also have the same issue, while their teams cost also less to upkeep.

Maybe time to consider ending professional rugby in SA.
