Are our wingers poor defenders or is it our own defensive system hanging them out to dry?
Every match I go into it thinking that the opposition just has to figure a way out to suck our defenders in-field and then spread the ball wide quickly to run, unopposed, around our defensive line.
This is the question that always comes to mind since Rassie has taken over. Nkosi did very well against the English and seems to even over power attackers, which I have yet to see any of his replacements do. I question Dyanti's defence as it's not consistent enough and Ben Smith taught him a few lessons in that first half. I can see him improving as he develops but is it a player problem or a system problem. Another factoring problem is our centers. Am has done well defending at 13 but at 12 and 10 it seems that there are vulnerabilities that cause our players to be sucked infield, leaving our wingers to cover a lot of space. Thoughts?
