I cannot see them wining playing thse paper tigers like Kolisi, Carr and Steenkamp in the pack  weakens the pack too much when facing top sides. We got away with kolis when the rest of the pack was in tact leading the vacuous to conclude we did not miss Burger!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To win this we need these injured guys back. It is the full strength Stormers pack, the best in the comp, that can win this for us. carr, kolisi and steenkamp will not. We need the big men back Burger, vermulen and Etzebeth.

Re size I am still battling to see many guys under 90 kg so any are the exception proving the rule. Sorry small guys this is a big mans game with the little gys only getting a very occassional lookin.

crusaders and chiefs might have a different opinion as to whose got the best pack in the comp.

IMO, stormers need some of the kiwi teams to beat the chiefs, cos no one else is going to do it. but storemrs need to enter the finals on top of the combined confernce, if the dhiefs end up on top, then the stormers are in trouble cos they wont beat the crusaders in SA or NZ, they wont beat the chiefs in NZ, but they might beat the chiefs in newlands.

sasuk you have a short memory. The Stormers outscored the crusaders two tries to 1 and lost as a consequesnce of loosing both locks and a ref who blew them repeatedly for offsides - something that hasn't happened before or since.

No ways could the crusaders or chiefs pack stand up to a fulll Stormers pack. Man the highlanders pack got spannered and that was with out Burger too!! Put away that pipe you are smoking!! I can't ask ou sitting bulle to be reasobble as he is topped up wirth moonshine and the stars are in his eyes and the sweet sound of mocking birds fill his ears.

Just understand you best chance of beating the Stormers are the injuries and another bent down under ref. Given a decent ref and sides at full strength there can only be one winner. Fortunately for you we  are in big trouble injurywise

Beeno keeping it real

@beeno1,
lol, two trys to one for sure albeit de jongs was from broken play, not from anything the stormers did, but as a saffa u should know and appreciate that scoring more trys then the opposition does not gurantee a victory, as so many saffa teams have done for as long as i can remember.
and do u really wanna talk about the number of tries the saders score compared to the stormers, stormers zero bonus points for 4 trys scored speaks volumes about their defnse first team tactics.

but this common theme of ambigous reffind descions is as typical and asboring as the Boks 10man rugby.
stormers rushed their defense against the crusaders cos they recognised the threat they pose and were looking to limit their options, instead of their usual structred line and were often caught offside and rightly so.

as for the injuries that thye suffered, yteah thats a factor, but not an excuse. for that is what seperates champion teams, and trophyless teams. remember the stormers game last year against the crusaders??? crusaders were already missing thorn, McCaw, carter and andy ellis before the match started and then they lost, israel dagg, 2nd string halfback fotualii, adam whitelock who came on as a replacement,  and then sean maitland,,,all the back reserves were on the field before halftime and we ended up playing with a flanker (todd) on the wing. so save the injuries excuse, u just got to get on with the job,

Kolisi and Carr played brilliantly considering their inexperience and the fact that they were facing an all Wallaby backrow so I'm not sure why you are running them down Beeno??? They are only 20 and 21 years old respectively and I take my hat off to them for standng up the way they did.

Stormers have shown great depth in the face of a massive injury toll and came off with a huge points collection haul on a long and tough Australasian trip. Well done Stormers, from me, a Sharks supporter.

It simply amazes me on how much posession the SA side lose at either a maul, lineout or scrum.

The NZ and Oz players win the ball even when they are outnumbered by SA teams at the breakdowns.

Is this a weak point/points in our play or are we hopefully waiting for the ref to blow and perhaps award us a scrum or kick) or am I just missing something.

Beeno, Kolisi at this age is better than Schalk was at the same age. The kid is huge - what bloody rugby are you watching? He runs through players, around players, knocks players back with interest in the tackle - bloody hell what more could you ask for?

As for Carr, what a great prospect he looked - looks like a great open side flanker in the making, plenty of skills there, runs great angles and has good pace.

Catch a wake up Beeno - you have some awesome talent coming through but you are too.........to notice? Let me guess your obsession with size is clouding your vision. Kolisi and Carr are not 110kg's oh boy they must be crap!!!!

dave please try and get a grip on reality  thats strong stuff you are smoking. Please dont and try and suggest that Kolisi, Carr and steenkamp are in t'he class of Burger, vermulen and Etzebeth. Bwahahaahhahahaha ya must be dafter than a hatter!!!!

Further I would rather have jean at center and Habana at wing

Burger as IRB player of the year as a youngster. Kolisi is not remotely in that class Dave. No we need our top players back to win this.

I also recall you saying Steenlamp was a lightweight? Even though he is 3 kg heavier than wee matfield. Hahahahahaha so much confusion!!!!

I am afraid ou dave's lift actually disappears at times

I'd select Kolisi over Schalk now, for Kolisi is better.

Best Stormers combo would be 6. Kolisi 7. Elstadt 8. Vermeulen, with Schalk on the bench, but pushed by Carr

Case closeed the lift has departed..

Be assured Kolis will not be SA  of the year much as that may shock you!

Glad at least you have woken up to the fact  that I am right in saying Etzebeth and Vermulen are needed back ! You get 2 out of three  - with Jean still being outstanding. Hahahahhahahahahhahaha

Kolisi is a machine. May not have the leadership qualities or the experience Burger has, but is a very good Player. I would maybe lean towards Burger just for those 2 qualities that he has over Kolisi. But that is taking nothing away from Kolisi.

I agree that Etzebeth and Vermulen need to be in the pack to make us champions.

This pack is good enough to win though In my opinion.

Kitschoff, Liebenberg, Harris/Malherbe

             Etzebeth  Bekker

       Kolisi Vermeulen Elstadt

Kolisi gives the trio balance, the kid is the future and certainly looks the real deal. Would be more than happy to see him in the Bok set up
