I would say Baueden is the best of all the brothers. Jordie is a full back but not a 12. He has good size and fantastic skill but doesn't have the pace of a Will Jordan.
New Zealand obsession with these brothers and trying to keep them on the park in any position is what messed them up. The lost their B&I test series because they but an inexperience Jordie at full back at 19 years old and then dropped a fantastic player like Ben Smith that had all the skill and experience.
As for Scott, he is okay but not one of the best locks in the world. It is a big step up for him to match Whitelock or Ratalick. He is at best a bench player or squad member.
Bauden should go back to 10 and stay there. He should either be on the bench or stay at 10.
They have the likes of Mckensie that is better on the wing or at 15 where he has more time and space to use his agility. He is a very smart player and fantastic player, but 10 is not right for him.
What to do with Jordie, he too is better to be at 15. They need to accept these players strengths and sometime you may just have to many world class players in one position. SA has the same problem, but it is just a matter of rotating them and making hard decisions that one player might not be as frequent on the park.
I know Rassie is turning player into jack of all trades but I want Masters. These guys are great to slit into a 2nd or 3rd position in case a player gets carded, but let them play in their back up position for their clubs just to give them some time.
We saw what Cheslin did over the weekend. First scrum and he was feeding it. Marx went off and he threw the ball in, at the end of the game, he slotted in the 10 channel and attempted a drop goal.
It is okay to switch players in game when needed but this shouldn't be part of your starting line up like we see with the All Black teams.
That is why I have been so frustrated with Willemse, he has played everywhere but to me he couldn't settle in one position. Yes, he started at 10 but he is to reactive and instinctive player. !2 is good for him and he did well for the Stormers, he gets on the ball and can break the line. Is he as imposing as Dud or AE, no. Is he better than Du Plessis at the stormers at 12, no. So his best spot is to stay at 15. Sasha should stay at 10. Unfortunately one player has to miss out and will not get as many test. There are plenty of games these days. 14 test per year has gone up from 9.
As for the brothers. I would move Bauden to 10, Jordie to 15 and put Mckenzie on the bench. Scott is their only option for 4. NZ can always create competition.
Remember those days when NZ had 30 players back in 2007 and you didn't know who is their best team but the still won everything. They had a bit of an identify crisis, but sorted that out and won two world cups in a row. They dominated professional rugby for nearly 20 years.
I hope it is SA turn now. I will never write the All Blacks off and I will not get too excited. When they pull it together it can destroy your team for years to follow
