Are the Bulls the Center of All Rugby in SA

Lets look at Meyer's team that will take the field in Australasia and I am quoting the team that Meyer will undoubtedly select:- 15 Kirchner - Ex Bulls player 14 Basson - Bulls 13 Engelbrecht - Bulls 12 De Villiers 11 Habana - Ex Bulls player 10 Steyn - Ex Bulls player 9 Pienaar 8 Vermeulen 7 Alberts 6 Louw 5 Kruger - EX- Bulls player 4 Etzebeth 3 Du Plessis 2 Du Plessis 1 Mtawarire 16 Strauss 17 Steenkamp Ex Bulls player 18 Oosthuizen 19 Van der Merwe - Bulls 20 Kolisi 21 Vermaak Ex Bulls player 22 Serfontein Bulls 23 Lambie Of the 23 players 11 are players who played for the Bulls in the past or are still Bulls players. Incidentally of the above lot - I do not really call them a team - 6 are ex-Bulls now playing overseas. Add to that lot the two other foreign-based team members and you get to 8 foreign based players out of 23. That shows that nobody really cares about local SA Rugby - White is right the bloody farce is unbelievable. However, what is clear that if you want to be selected for the Meyer team - I do not call them Springboks since that will demean the Springboks blazer - you have to be a Bulls player - past or present. The rest of the team is made up of 5 Sharks or ex-Sharks players, five Stormers or Ex-Stormers players and 2 Cheetahs players - a definite insult to the Cheetahs who ended up higher on the Super 15 log than either of the Stormers and the Sharks. And I am bloody sure Le Roux will not be in the match day team as well. Blue Bulls above anything else!!!!!!!!

Let me just add - this is a slight improvement on the situation last year - when 14 Bulls players were in and out of the Springbok jersey. The missing one last year was Basson and the only real absentees were Werner Krugerm Jacques Potgieter and Dean Greyling this year. Basson and Vermaak is added this year and Spies and Arno Botha is injured - otherwise they would have been in. That gives a really true picture of the situation. Meyer is only pretending to be the Springbok coach - he is just the Bulls coach - taking a slight interest in being the Springbok coach. By the time he ends up going like this there would be 18 Bulls or ex-Bulls in the squad of 23 - the way things are going. In the meantime he is taking a keen interest in getting appointed by one of the French clubs as future coach - because he is unlikely to last very long locally - the way things are going.
