Owen Meany who posted here the other day to congratulate WP on their win - a very decent gesture that was -  says that the sharks have lost 3 currie cup finals and concludes with real justification that the sharks are chokers. The Currie Cup final loss at home against a young and decidely second string WP confirms the view. The ref also gave the sharks a pretty good deal.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt regarding their loss to the chiefs in the final (treavel) but I now wonder whether the extent of the loss might include a choke element as well? Our loosing to the the sharks in the semis was not a choke but clearly the result of too many injuries. Remember also that the sharks choked in  match against the Lions in the super 15.

On paper the sharks have the team but have they the mental fortitude to win? Will they find that mental resolve and rid themselves of their chokers tag?

Owen ek dink jy is reg!

a second string side beeno ???? wow you just whipped your own boys. in terms of the choking tag let me remind you if the sharks has a stint like the wp 11 years odd then the choker tag might be used until then i reckon we are good to go. they won in 2010 not 2001
