I see everyone here and myself included saying this and that player are doing good or bad! but we also have to take into acount its round 2 for the sa teams some rust is still there also some teams have played harder oppentants than others!
Im just saying is it to early to stamp out people we say are not good enough! you never know elton may become the next dan cater! (unlikly but you never know)
Fly halfs:
For me mourne has had a good start to the year i mean 2 man of match preformances and also got his kicking boots on again! however the level of teams he has played against is quite low compaired to the likes or goosen! If he keeps going on this path no one can deny him the chance to wear the green and gold again! i feel sorry for goosen i think the young man has a world load of pressure on his sholders and the teams he has faced have not been forgiving in giving away in soft plays! he did play really well in the second half of sharks side so i would like to see a full 80 mins put in by the youngster! elton has had a really hard time on and off the field! we all have to remember he suffered a great loose in the pre season so i will jugde his later perfornces harder than his more recent ones! lambie is a funny one great against the cheethas a bit poor against the stomers! again ill wait and see to see how well he does!
Scrum halfs:
only really one person i wanna talk about here and that hougie as a bulls fan im slightly dieing inside when i see hougie put in the preformances that he has lately they been nothing but under par! like i said it is early! and he could be just recovering from the poor form that he suffered with the boks but damn! he needs to get better and it better happen fast he has had two easy teams to play against (a weaker stormers side) so i hope he pulls it together for the harder games aproching! if not he might as well kiss that bok shirt good bye!
Centers:
again only one player i want to really say that needs to do better is styen i mean joodran is proving to be useful for the sharks when he gets the ball and is still young so to early to tell Pdv is also still the same old guy is always is so nothing to say there! de al i didnt get to see the full sharks vs stomers so i dont know but i will watch him close! and not seen enough of jan for the bulls as of yet! however styen needs to get the rugby head back on not the cave man one! he needs to pass the ball and use the backs outside him! however he has trimmed down and also seem to be looking good with his tactical kicking! even though a few have gone wrong he is showing that at least he was thinkng! also i would like venter to get more game time! but i dont see that happening with jan in the wings as well! sadly saf you could see your wonder boy JJ sitting on the side line this year ;)
these have been the main talking points on here so far and like i said it is a bit early to say yes or no to players! but the fly halfs, scrummies and centers ill be looking at closely will be : lambie, goosen, styen, de al, jan, joodarn and hougie and grom!
The bok sqaud will be shifted and shapped in the next few weeks we shall see who makes the cut and who just cant step up!
