Argentina Changes For Wallabies

Moyano comes in as a replacement for Delguy, who is out for three weeks due to a soulder injury. This will bolster Los Pumas as Moyano leads the tournament for defenders beaten. He has been deadly.

Another injury enforced selection is Grondona for Lezana at flank and Montero for Osadczuk at wing.

The Pumas are three points above the Wallaroos. Victory would leave Australia with their first wooden spoon of the RC era. That would surely be the end of Cheika's reign. The job doesn't get any easier, as Los Pumas host them at Salta. 

A look at the stats shows a sharp decline in Wallaby attacking play. In the early days of Cheika they relied upon outscoring their opponents to compensate for a porous defence. It was never going to be sustainable.

His win percentage stands at 49%. Dangerously close to the 44% of Coetzee. If you eliminate games played on neutral ground it drops to 47%. They've lost to England, Ireland, Scotland, Argentina, South Africa, New Zealand, and conceded 30 points to Japan in November. Its hard to imagine their opponents will fear them by the time the World Cup is here.

It may seem like I am enjoying this decline, but I actually used to love watching Australian rugby. I wanted to play the game not because of the Boks, but because of the likes of Little, Campese, Herbert, Horan and Roff. I find it tragic how low Aussie sports have sunk. The used to be smarter than everyone else. Cutting edge and professional. Some fans lament their inability to come to terms with professional professionalism, but they set the standard in the very beginning and brought about incredible development to the r game in the late 90s. Test rugby without a good Wallaby side would be soulless for me. I hope they get their house in order, because watching two dunder head sides getting pelted with eggs by New Zealand is too boring to contemplate.

He is the joint top scorer, with 3. Moyano has 1. Moyano, however, is the leading player for beating defenders. They'll definitely be strengthened. Though Delguy is a great wing. I pointed them both out three months ago. 

Only three months ago - when Tuculet was fit the best wings were Delguy and Bofelli - with Moyano making bench appearances.   That is the kind of logic the fool always produces.   He may have seen one incident where Moyano did beat defenders and that suddenly became the norm.   He forgot how many defenders Delguy beat when scoring his tries.  

Why the childishness again - AO?   

Moyano leads the competition with 23 defenders beaten. He is a particularly slippery runner with a good offload. Nobody is saying Delguy is a bad player, this is an aberrant thought born of your tribe x; tribe y mentality. Not very healthy, I dare say.
