A RECAP RE ARNO Springbok loose forward Arno Botha has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2013 season after rupturing ligaments in his knee during the Castle Lager Incoming Series victory over Scotland in Nelspruit on Saturday.
Botha was forced to leave the field in the fourth minute of only his second test for South Africa when he injured his left knee.
The former SA Under-20 captain was taken for scans in Pretoria on Sunday, which confirmed the “diagnosis of an injury to his medial collateral and anterior cruciate ligaments. It will require surgical correction and he will be out for the remainder of the season.
Losing Arno is a big blow as he had a very good test debut last weekend against Italy,” said Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer.
“Luckily he is still very young and I’m sure with the correct medical treatment and rehabilitation we will see him back on the field again in 2014.”

A class act, lets hope he is all good in 2015.......the likes of Taute and Goosen got through similar injuries.......and with a forward, speed and agility is of less concern.

A lot was said about Goosen too. Look how he turned out. A complete disappointment.
Could be another Goosen.

The way Dave carries on at times I swear he gets his rocks off at the mere mention of any player with potential.
He did when Jantjies hit the scene and the same when Goosen arrived.
Sadly they were both a bit of an anti-climax ...

Wow Goosen an anti-climax........he looked pretty bloody awesome against Oz.......was solid enough for the poor Cheetahs side this year and is all of 21 or so.

CC you are wrong about Goosen, his career took a knock due to injuries, I think Meyer's idea of making him a Fullback is a sound one
