Guess who - his name is Francois Steyn - being cited for eacatly the same thing as Greyling was in the Dunedin test.   I associate that type of thing as idiotic play.

Chances are that Steyn woud be banned for two matches as a result of which Plumtree wil do much better to send him home and to get a better center coming from SA.   I still think Stokkies Hanekom will be a better option.

Francois Steyn's contribution to the game today was very little with the emphasis being on negative rather than positive.    I hink time for a serious rethink about him as a player is necessary.   Either he must come up to standard or go and play Vodacom Rugby as a past time.

He made precious little real contribution to the Springboks last year - and since the start of the Super 15 series has become progressively worse every game he played in.   He apparently does not co-operate about his dietary requiremenrs - are way to heavy - and as a result slowed down in speed.

Bad news - all round

Wrong again dom Mike. Frans Steyn was the best center on the pitch and much better than the useless Bosman.

Saffex

I am not going to argue about who was best.  Both the Chiefs centrs were miles better than eoither Bosman or Steym.   Seyn tried some strong runs - but all in vein because it ended up as crashballs,   Borman was stronger in defence where he made 8 tackles and missed none - Steyn made 3 tackles and missed me.

To be quite frank I think Steyn and bosman are both really not up to standard = the Sharks will be much better off by disposing of both of them,

I do not think you can call for a replacement when a player is not seriously injured and Frans is not.  He did what about 20 other players did on the weekend, he just got cited - maybe as I said it is because he tends to gooi drama and then get the focus (not the Ford one) on himself.  He is getting better with every game, give him time I think the Bokke still need a 100% fit and committed Frans Steyn.

The Sharks game style just doesn't complement centre play, for a Kiwi DumbPlum hasn't really kept an expansive mind set within the players. Most of the tries scored are from forward dominance in the form of push and drive, or individual brilliance (Reinachs the best example). Barely any tries scored by the Sharks have been made through overlaps! Frans Steyn has been moved around too much, he needs to consider his position and stick with it, much like Hougaard, he played well on the weekend and Mike your constant bashing of Fransie is boring.

Some sign of improvement Mike so keep the faith.

MIke the reality is the sharks have 17 players out, traveled to nz played the top nz side and but for the ref could well have won the game. That is an excellent achievement and should be saluted.  They are a severely disrupted side but played with great spirit and came desparately close.

If Sharkies get their players back and make the last 6 who knows.

Of course if you look only at the scoreboard and give no context its all doom and gloom.

Freddie

Jordaan was seriously injured and sent home.  So Plumtree is in fact really entitled to call up another player.   However, he tried Steyn at 13 - and did not call up another player.  If Steyn is out for reasons of discipline - I would be surpeized if Plumtree does not call up another player.

If that is the case Mike, my appologies.  Then Plumbottem is OK to call another center but eish, the Sharks are getting thin in the background.  Here's hoping they can find a worthy player to join the rest of the tour.
