It has been a long time since the Blues were in a force in SuperRugby and no longerdeserve their place.
They do not have a tight five that could outscrum 5 cheerleaders, and they expect to play a 7's style of rugby.  The blueprint to beat them is to make their forwards tired with the rough stuff. Run at their forwards to get them to make lots of tackles, then watch them huff and puff from ruck to ruck.
New Zealand has 4 excellent teams without these deadbeats, and SA has more viewers and brings money to the table. (We fund 70% of SuperRugby, however, without the Pro14 Euros it is still not enough to sustain mass consumption- see the traditionalist illustrations for more details)
The Blues are a points cow, and now even getting beat at home by Australian teams- so they are going to be an opportunity for other New Zealand teams to rest key players in this derby.
With New Zealand having more teams it is like they have their own derby tournament within the competition.

Blues prob should leave based on form. But what they should do is scrap the conference system. And bring in a Tier format. Tier 1 and 2. 1 Obviously being the top division. And end of year Promotion and Relegation match. I Can't see Blues getting booted

Well apply that to Saffa teams and you would be left with the Lions ?

Just play each team once and get rid of the conferences.

Agreed each team playing each other once would be fewer games.

Having one less team will be going back to a Super14- which was the last time SuperRugby was very good.

Yup, conference is a stuff up. I enjoyed Super Rugby most when it was 12 teams all playing each other once. Maybe make it 14 to include the Jag's and Jap's. There is a disadvantage for the Saffa teams as far as travel is concerned, and maybe the Argies too, but that can be managed.
