Well - unless rain or some seriously good batting occurs (the latter highly unlikely) ... looks like the Aussies (as I predicted) have smashed the saffas in cricket - I guess the reality here is that Australia really is the dominant test cricket country.

Defeating the saffas on their home grounds shows lokos of ticker and as for Davey Warner - what a legend he is...!!!!

Good to see a bit of good ol aussie cricket determination... now to get this into the wallabies...

according to the news, australia are in a very strong position going into the final day???

that would explain the lack of chatter ive been seeing regarding the cricket in the rugby forums,

one might think that had folks been blogging in the cricket section, the cricket gods might not have been angered and taken it out on the porteas, lolz,

i wouldnt mind seeing that proteas captain go out on a good note though, seems like a nice chap, based only on the few seconds ive seen him in interviews and what have u, LMAO, :oP

I didn't stay up and watch as watching the proteas trying to bat out the day without scoring any runs just didn't do it for me...

I believe it came pretty close in the end and would expect this from the 'world ranked no1 team' on their home grounds...

But one thing it proves is that Aussies dominant in cricket (as hard as is for me to say like the kiwis in rugby) - it seems the perennial poor saffa continually the bridesmaid in both sports....

We do admire your passion and competition but this aussie side still has room for improvement and the saffas seemingly peaked last year or two means the cycles have turned...

Which brings me to rugby cycles...

I was talking to a stauch kiwi rugby enthusiast the other day who hates the Tahs worse than any team in Rugby and he conceded two very very telling things...

1. Tahs finally look like the have the goods to win this comp

2. Wallabies are going to be very dangerous come 2015 RWC

The latter thought was interesting insight as I feel there are probably 5teams that really are in the mix to dominate the RWC...

Anyway I will bask in victory of the aussie cricketers while I wiat for the reds to slide this year but the Tahs will compete and most importantly the Wallabies will have some forwards to mix it with the best of them....
